"Australian Federal Election"
John and Doves,
So we all marched off to the Polling Places on Saturday and dutifully recorded our votes to elect our Federal politicians
and a Party to govern us for the next three years. Or did we? Well we seem to have been in two minds as we have managed
to
vote for what is said to be a "hung" parliament. That is to say we have
both major Parties have about the same number of seats
with a few Independents and a Green politician holding the balance. That is in the House of Representatives. In the Senate
(the House of Review) we have a similar situation with the Greens holding the balance of power.
Now we seem to have a minority with an enormous amount of power. How on earth did we achieve this situation?
And this minority has been said to have a great dislike for anything they see as detrimental to the environment or
anything that grows. Some have said that they worship the created thing and not the Creator of it.
So where are we headed now?
Commentators say that we will not know for certain what the true outcome of the Election is for at least a week.
The TV and News services are running hot with every little piece of information. On Sunday the ABC TV News 24 hr
had a banner along the bottom of the TV in the morning saying "Maxine McKew concedes Bennelong". In the
afternoon it said the same! In the evening it said the same! Tonight I daren't look! It is like a giant soapie that is a
triple episode put together for our benefit. It might even appear as though it has already been scripted just for our
consumption. Just for our entertainment so to speak.

During the day the ABC radio was saying that they are predicting the two main parties may well end up with 73 members
each in Parliament. 73? 73 each? Interesting number. 2701 = 37 x 73 being the gematria of Gen 1:1.
Interesting times for sure.
Keep looking up. God is still in control.
