Regarding Javier Solona, he was the WEU High Commissioner for sometime, then was given authority for military issues under Recommendation 666 which joined the WEU with the EU.  He is in his 60's.  He is no longer in any authority for the EU.  As to his present life, I do not know what he is doing, but for influencing the world as he had during the Bush Admin. he is no longer in the lime light of world politics.
