"One more Glenn Beck thought"
One more thought.
Do we all live in
the USA? Do all who live here in the USA, are they born again
Christians? So, my neighbor may not believe like I do. Yet
we share the same country.
If we as Christians are not
to be unequally yoked, how is it that many of us work for secular
companies? How many of us work for owners of companies that may be of a
different faith than ours?
If we really truly follow the
unequally yoked command, why is it that many of us Christians are
working for a nonbeliever and not only that, we accept payment from
that nonbeliever? We have entered into a contract with a nonbeliever
making us yoked to that nonbeliever. Well, we have to live in the
world and we have to work. Yes, and we live in this nation
amongst others who do not share our faith.
I think the
boat has been missed on this one. Glenn Beck, although a Mormon,
is not out to convert you or I but to bring clarity to the fact that
Socialist elites have used the mantle of "Christianity" specifically
regarding Barack Obama to bring about confusion with the intent to turn
our nation into a Socialist nation that eventually will lead into a
dictatorship.
He is not about prosyletizing,
conversion, and he makes no bones about his Mormonism, but he does
respect and HONOR others of differing faiths as relating to our
Constitutional right to have freedom of religion. He is about
trying to bring the truth of our real history, not revisionist history
so that our Nation can return to its original intent. He has not
even brought on his platform regarding Faith Hope and Charity his
Mormon Elders or heirarchy to disuade you from your faith. He is
reaching out to all of us who live here in our great nation who may not
share our faith to get engaged in the dialogue of our country, to
protect our dignity, history and Constitution.
From what I
am observing, where are the Christian Leaders?? Who amongst us has
picked up the mantle to fight for our nation and has the clarion call
that is able to speak to the nation? Jerry Falwell is gone from
us. Billy Graham is too old. And.. if we as Christians are
going to sit once again on the sidelines and point fingers, well
I guess we get what we deserve.
Folks, Glenn knows he
risks the possibility that he could be killed on Saturday. Also,
Martin Luther King Jr.'s neice, Alveta King who will also be present
also has death threats that follow her. I know that if I had the
money, I would be there for this is not about eschatology, not about
preaching the Gospel at this time, but it is about saving our
nation. This is about reading our Founding Pastors pastoral
papers who had under their wings our Founding Fathers that penned our
Constitution. All of this is about reading what they wrote that
God used historically that eventually won our freedom to become the
United States of America.
Our nation is in deep trouble
and talk of not only depression but new currencies to use that will
completely take down the dollar bill and financially collapse this
nation leading us into bondage.
The premise is by Glenn and others is if we forget our history we will not have our future.
"Deitrich
Bonhoeffer attended Tübingen University for a year and visited Rome,
where he became conscious of the universality of the church, before he
enrolled at the University of Berlin in 1924, then a center of liberal
theology under theologians such as Adolf von Harnack. Around this time,
he discovered the writings of Karl Barth, an eminent Swiss theologian
whose pioneering work in neo-orthodoxy was a reaction against liberal
theology. Barth believed that "liberal theology" (understood as
emphasizing personal experience and societal development) minimized
Scripture, reducing it to a mere textbook of metaphysics while
sanctioning the deification of human culture. "
It was
Karl Barth who exhorted and truly influenced Deitrich Boenhoffer.
Deitrich Boenhoffer was intrical to the Church in Germany from the
1920's to his death April 9, 1945 at the Flossenburg Concentration
Camp. As you read Liberal Theology is not new but was also
dealt with as it infiltrated the Church. It was Karl Barth who
persuaded Boenhoffer away from the liberal thought. And as
time marched on the Church became weak and heavily influenced by the
State so much so, it fell under its influence and control.
Boenhoffer was part of what was called the Confessing Church and it was
very small. It was that singular light speaking out to the Nation. It
finally fell silent. By in large, the church fell silent and weak
in a time when it needed to lead and bring light into a very dark
world.
I find it strange that we are now seemingly in
that same place as Germany was, a weak economy, declining in world
leadership. Just as Deitrich Boenhoffer needed his doctrine
challenged, we find a Mormon now in the limelight of the great
challenge of our culture, political and economic and even religious
thought in the life of our nation. Deitrich was contemplating
going to India to learn from Ghandi about how to do non-violent
revolutions. Once again, if it were not for a strong Christian
friend, Karl Barth, to encourage to not leave when the church was
aflame and needing help.
The church fell into
complacency and timidity and had infighting. And you know the
rest of the history of Germany as it went from Socialism to a
Dictatorship. Even in a more recent time in our country, Jerry
Falwell was not only attacked, though not surprisingly by the left, but
the heartbreak was that because he associated with others from
differening faiths the "church" went after him. The attempt
by the Moral Majority to rescue, doing that very same thing that Glenn
has begun, regarding our nation was under attack much by the
Church. There were so much infighting and bickering because he
reached out to others not like himself, that finally the life and light
of the Moral Majority faded into non relevance and
ineffectiveness.
You have a choice, as my
"Christian" mother would often tell me. You can complain, deliberate
all the reasons why you should not become involved, or you can take
action. Since this is not a platform to find the best way we can
to evangelize the lost, or merge our doctrinal differences into one, or
comprising biblical dotrine and faith, but rather a platform to join
forces to salvage our nation, I have a choice.
I can choose to sit this one out because they don't believe like me
and
complain, or I can become a team of people who love our nation and want
it protected. I guess I have a question for us all and that is do you
write our Congressmen and women, write our Senators, write to the White
House, vote, engage friends, neighbors and co-workers, sign
petitions? Or do we not do any of the above? Do we faithfully
pray for our nation, our local, state and federal leadership? And
should the worst happen to Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Alveta King
and all those who will be speaking are killed, or arrested and
silenced, then we who are Christians will be folded into the fold of
the State, no voice, no message, no life and light of the Gospel of
Christ.
It is a sad day in this country that there is
silence on ALL media outlets on Cable and TV regarding 08/27. I
was not able to even watch it on the Internet on Glenn's website.
It had been shut down and even trying to upgrade Adobe, it was also
prevented from the upgrade process so that there were no sights to go
to and watch the speakers. The only thing I saw was the
"attacking tone of voice by Nightline's interviewer towards Alveta
King. PTL she responded in love and diffused this interviewer.
I
ask each of you to pray for Glenn that the Gospel that has been
explained to him, our true Gospel of Christ, the God-man, 2nd person of
the Trinity, the only way, truth and life, and the only way to heaven,
and not a created "god", that the Holy Spirit brings home to his heart
his need to accept that true gift of Salvation in the real Jesus.
The soul of this nation and the soul of Glenn is at the door of
choosing.
In His Service,
Patty Hayes
P.S.
I have put out our Stars N Stripes flag in front of my home as this is
about celebrating becoming Honorable people like you, like me, like
those who serve in the military whose sole badge is one about Honor,
being honorable people.
