"When God Speaks"

When God Speaks.

So many of us are rushing around these days looking for answers to the problems of today as well as the answers to the end of these days.

We are looking and reading, searching the comments and sermons of others.  So many of us are not giving God the opportunity to speak to us, Why.

Do we have the faith that God can speak to us?  Or do we have more faith that God can speak to and through others?

When Jesus left he sent us another comforter, the Holy Spirit, through the Holy Spirit our spirits can commune directly to the spirit of God if we have been filled with the Holy Spirit – how awesome is that.

What can stop us personally hearing from God –

1.   Sin

2.   Unbelief

3.   Not giving God the opportunity to speak back, just rushing through a quiet time with him, if we even have one.

The Sin Factor – having unrepented sin in our lives causes us to step away from our Father God as our desires are to go our own way and not be obedient to his word or calling – this can stop us from hearing what God is saying because we have chosen to turn our backs.

Unbelief – If you do not understand that you can have a close communication with your Heavenly Father, then you will not know that you can take the opportunity to allow him to talk to you.

Not Giving God the Opportunity to speak back – Communion and meditation are quiet times, being in Gods presence is a very special time and place where peace reigns supreme, if you are his child you can spend time in his presence just being with him.

You don’t know how to get there?  If you have never felt that you have been to that place, into the very throne room of God, then I suggest you spend time by yourself, put on some anointed Christian music, start praising and worshipping God, understand how awesome and loving he is to you, understand the depth of his compassion and desire for you.  Praise him, worship him for a least ½ an hour, have a time of prayer, then open your Bible, read a chapter or 2, close it, then be still before the Lord, just be still and wait, don’t expect to hear anything, just sit and be still in Gods presence.

Do this everyday, just sit in Gods presence and when he has something to say to you, could be at that time, might be another time during the day or night, you will hear from him,  enjoy the communion, its life changing.
