"STATE OF GRACE"

Within a place not soon forgotten lies the tendency to thrive and live,
a place given over to a land of selfish desire. We have dominion over
this land. We have authority as well here, yet we are undone...

To build a city where we have the right, can build permanently upon
a Foundation purchased long ago by a Soul who fell in love with us...just because...

If we capture the butterfly what would be the harm? There are more...
If we indulge a secret desire, who will know or will there be destruction unseen...
until it is too late.

Can the spirit of man sing while it is in captivity to the soul which chooses the path?
Can the spirit cry out to God for deliverance when the whisper is faintly heard?
Can the feet stay still in faith or run ahead in indulgent ignorance...just for fun?
A black hole was once a star fallen to rebellion which now voraciously
devours light. Who can reverse it's untimely decision?

Can the eagle forget her offspring as they stubbornly cling to the nest?
The rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. Who can ask The Almighty,
"What is this that you have done?" Can a potsherd, no longer whole
argue with The Potter while he gathers dust?

How can the lightning choose it's own path when the Thunder has
not been given permission to sound?
If we remove the ego of ourselves, looking only to help those outside
the boundries of the land we live, can there be new life in the desert?
What can grow where the light does not entertain? Darkness grows only
too well from a selfish desire of...more.

Even the sun in it's glory gives way to the moon changing position as the
darkness falls. The stars give way to the sun and the crest of the dawn, only
to sing it's arrival.

So too the human made in a Majestic image gives way to a Glory meant for
One who gave all because He knew the endgame. He never questioned if He should
win. He never hesitated during rebellion. He smiled knowing all too well...
A Kingdom run by justice, ignoring Self always wins.

He is our example, our love, our breath... our wineskin made whole.
