"When the Two Witnesses Appear"

Dear Doves,
I am beginning to consider a possibility. We are told in the Book of Revelation that the Two Witnesses will give witness for 1260 days, show miraculous signs and wonders, be killed, be resurrected, then ascend to Heaven. I ask you, why do we assume that the day they appear must be the day the 1260 days begin? Their initial appearances and beginning of witness in speech and deeds do not have to be the same day. What if they suddenly appear dressed in sackcloth? They may be silent for days, weeks, or months before their effective speech and powerful signs and wonders begin. Will they speak only in Hebrew as did the prophets of old of ancient Israel? The 144,000 will know Hebrew! Will the two witnesses appear only in Jerusalem? Might there be a silent pre witness period this year from Elul 1 to Yom Kippur? Or longer? Even in silence, dressed in sackcloth, they would be indicative of amazing spiritual presence and power. So unusual and so rare would this be in our world. Sackcloth was associated with any prophet of Israel. It was a symbolic signature of a prophet. Initially, the SIGHT of these men would be a clear message. SACKCLOTH means a clarion call to repent, The Kingdom is at hand! What better day to initiate all this than Elul 1?
So there may be a delay of days, weeks, or months before the period of 1260 days of their witness begins. Think of how much these two men alone could attract and mesmerize people. Who are they? Where did they come from? Why the sackcloth? Why now? Why here? Why are they in Jerusalem like the prophets of old? Why are they silent? Why do they appear and disappear so quickly? Why can't they be detained or arrested? What is their message? Who do they represent? The build up, day by day, of silence, suspense, mystery and unanswered questions could go on for days, weeks, or months! WOW!
Yes, the Two Witnesses may first appear on The Day of The Blessed Hope. Dressed in sackcloth, they may be wisely enveloped in silence, mystery, and wordlessness to AMAZE those who SEE them. SEE them, SEE and TELL. Later, SEE, and TELL, and HEAR, and DO. The Two Witnesses will live with POWER IN QUIETUDE of the LIFE ETERNAL. To greater understand these spiritual truths, SEE and HEAR the George Stevens classic, "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Come Quickly, Lord...

With Love and Shalom,
Jean
