Renee - Interesting post, however two things for us to consider:

#1 - The text seems to strongly indicate that there will be supernatural darkening that will occur for significant periods of time, well beyond any mere eclipses.

In other words, I would not put so much emphasis on the 2014/2015 eclipse tetrad in relation to those passages as the only possible time they could be fulfilled. Is the tetrad still a sign of what is to come? Absolutely! But is it the -fulfillment- of those passages? Almost assuredly not, unless God supernaturally makes those eclipses MUCH more lengthy and significant. But given that God can cause such darkness at any time He chooses, again I would posit that it would be unwise to try to shoehorn those passages into that eclipse tetrad as though they couldn't happen at another time.

#2 - Mr. Reese uses a LOT of hyperbole and emphatic language in what he writes (e.g., "clearly" "must be" "nail in the coffin", words in ALL CAPS with lots of exclamation points, etc). This is language that is non-evidential (it does not provide any evidence to support one's claims) but is intended to try to persuade the reader anyway. Let us not be distracted by the language used, but examine the actual evidence (or lack thereof) in what is being posited.
