"To Bruce Warner and Doves concerning the timeframe of the pretrib rapture of the bride"

Bruce Warner, you wrote...

"According to my understanding of John 4:34-36 we should be watching for the rapture "four months" (120 days) prior to Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets which begins at sundown September 28, 2011. Counting backwards 120 days from sundown September 28, 2011 as day #1 we come to June 1, 2011 as day # 120 which is Ascension Day 2011.
28 days in September + 31 days in August + 31 days in July + 30 days in June = 120 days total"

Bruce, I have been worried about some of the predictions which didn't allow for a time frame for the destruction of Damascus and the Gog Magog war to occur.  Your timeframe would allow for both of these events. In a way, I very troubled and distressed, because I would be much happier if our departure was much sooner.  I know there are also many brothers and sisters who are worn out from watching and being disappointed.

Yet we have to stop skipping over those prophecies that are unfulfilled in order that the we can make ourselves feel better.  Let me explain.  We know that the destruction of Damascus has to be before the war of Gog and Magog war because Damacus isn't mentioned in the list of enemies for the Gog Magog war.  After the destruction of Damascus and the Gog Magog war, there has to be a timeframe for the burning of the weapons for seven years.  The burning of the weapons has to start some months before the tribulation begins. If the burning of the weapons didn't start until after the tribulation, the Jews wouldn't have seven full years to complete their task!

If the rapture occurs this Fall, the seven year tribulation can't start until after the two wars mentioned above.  That's possible.  If the rapture is the trigger for the tribulation, then we are here until for a while longer and that would fit with your scenario.  If the Holy Spirit is the restrainer (one possibility which I think may be most likely) then the pretribulation rapture of the bride will start the seven year tribulation.

I am careful to use the words "pretribulation rapture of the bride" for reasons that I've tried to explain before.  I won't go into all that now, but it's an important distinction.

I am very troubled, worried, and distressed that we may have to wait a bit longer.  June of 2011 is still a long way off if you are having difficulties in this present world.  I know.  There are some people who have grown tired and are worn out with the wait.  I looked for the rapture all the way back in 1988 because it was 40 years after Israel became a nation.  Brother, that makes my waiting a very long time!  I fear greatly that some watchers will drop out as they are consumed by troubles.  We have to pray that we can endure the present trials.

I also know that many people who are hopeful of a rapture this Fall will hate that I agree with your timeframe.  Who knows?  Maybe the war with Damascus followed by the Gog Magog war will all occur within the next few weeks and a rapture of the pretrib bride may yet be this Fall.  Yet (I hate to say it) this doesn't appear too likely.  This is already the middle of August.

Oh God, our Father, in Jesus' name please help us, lead us and guide us.  Please refresh us with the Holy Spirit.  Fill us with Your Holy Spirit and keep our oil lamps filled so that the door will be opened for us.  Please don't let us be consumed and distracted by the cares and troubles of this old, downward spiraling world.  Help us to keep looking up.
