---Knowing Jesus---

 In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus said,
"Not everyone who says to Me,'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never "knew" you; depart from Me”...

When Jesus says here "many" it can be taken to mean more than half. These people call Him "Lord" and think that they have earned entrance to Heaven. Yet after they describe performing some “work” they did will be told by Jesus "depart from Me" on Judgment Day!

They had their trust in some great "works" they performed.  They did “many wonders” more than anything I've ever done! Translated to today's language we might say, "I went to church every week, I gave money, I was baptized, I've been a Christian my whole life!" Yet they were refused entrance into Heaven by Jesus, on that great day of Judgment. In that Day we shall all stand before Him and the worst thing you could ever hear is “depart from Me” because that means for eternity!

But WHY?  It’s because they don't "KNOW" Him! Jesus requires us to "know" Him through a "personal relationship." Is it Jesus that you worship? Is He the Lord and Master of your life? If He is your Lord then you’re mission in life is to serve Him and His wishes.

THE ETERNAL QUESTION IS DO YOU "KNOW" JESUS, WHO IS GOD- THE SECOND PERSON OF THE TRINITY?

IS HE GOING TO SAY THAT HE "KNOWS" YOU ON JUDGMENT DAY OR DEPART FROM ME, I NEVER KNEW YOU?

IF YOU’RE NOT SURE IF YOU “KNOW” HIM, THEN YOU PROBABLY DON'T. YOU CAN CHANGE THAT TODAY. YOU CAN "KNOW" HIM BY HUMBLY ASKING HIM TO BE YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR. PUT YOUR FAITH IN “HIS WORK” ON THE CROSS FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SIN, NOT ANY WORK OR RELIGIOUS RITUAL YOU'VE DONE.

START BY READING THE BOOK OF JOHN
AND TELL HIM YOU WANT TO "KNOW" HIM. SEEK HIM AND YOU WILL FIND HIM. IF YOU SEEK HIM WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART!

HE WILL SHOW YOU WHAT IT MEANS TO “KNOW” HIM THROUGH HIS WORD THE BIBLE.

John 17:3 Jesus said, “And this is eternal life, that they may “know” You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You (God) have sent.”

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may “know” him that is true, and we are “in him” that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

John 5:24 Jesus said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”
