The rapture and tribulation period are very near as the Red Horse has taken the spotlight and things are just getting warmed up.

Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

a. The second horseman is war, and this horseman is almost certainly the Great Russian Bear that will take peace from the earth.  Russia will eventually invade Israel with its allies, and short range nuclear weapons will apparently be used.  Five-sixths of the army of Russia will be destroyed in the mountains of Israel.  This war is described in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

b. The "great sword" is a reference to the nuclear armaments of Russia.  One-fourth of the world population will die in this war and the subsequent famine and pestilence that will follow the war.

c. The result of the four horsemen of the apocalypse (Rev 6:2-8) is the death of a fourth (1.65 BILLION people) of the world population.  They will be killed from war, famine and pestilence.

The Church Age is about to end (Rev chaps 2-3) and faithful Christians will be shown the open door (Rev 4). Image what Christ seated on the Heavenly Throne is going to look like with seating round about for the chosen elect.

Just remember between now and the rapture Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
