Eric,I'm days behind reading posts; but please fill me in on why you are questioning the sincerity of Walid Shobat? Frankly, I was SHOCKED at your post! I have met Walid, and he is truly a radiant man of God, and I've certainly heard him speak, and I cannot imagine why anyone would doubt his dedication to Jesus Christ!Walid Shoebat lives under death threats by Muslims for speaking before large audiences to show the "fruit" of his love for Christ, and trying to wake up slumbering Christians to see the threat from Islam! And may I remind you that the man is no different in his ministry than a Messianic Jew ministering to Orthodox Jews. One has to tactfully keep their perspective in mind. Most Jews come to Christ by finding the truth that He is the Messiah by reading OT scriptures!I imagine it's rare to witness to a Muslim or an Orthodox Jew by scripture from the New Testament only. That's exactly WHY Zola Levitt would have asked him such a question. He faced the same biases. And to Jews the word Christian is a dirty word. Their rabbi's have indoctrinated them to this. If they convert to Christ, they are despised by family in most cases, just as Walid was, only in the case of Islam it goes much further, they will kill family members who defect from Islam's teachings. And Walid's family intended to do just that. Many, many Muslims are getting revelations from the Lord in these last days, and afterwards they need someone they can relate to; someone who understands the loss of family, the doubts, and the fears that their new life brings. Walid holds a banner high for those people with his kind of courage. Also, he has ministered in churches all over the nation for several years, and was told to ONLY give his testimony--my former church for one!I truly suggest you watch him at the 2007 International Prophecy Conference last year, before you judge him so harshly. This is Part 1I will also confess that I've been very grieved lately at how I've seen Christians judging and belittling other Christians. I feel it saddens our Lord to see such things. He didn't give us a "hive" mentality, He graciously allows us to see His truths from many different angles, and to share what we see as He unfolds His plans. I think the multitude of theologies is clear proof that the Holy Spirit is NOT revealing God's whole Grand Plan, but in little increments, as He progresses with it. And I feel that anyone who feels "it's my way or the highway" is wasting their time preaching to the choir. They'd be serving Him better by getting out among the lost and showing them the love and grace of the Lord we serve. I'm not meaning you--just a general statement. Yes, some ministries are outlandish, apostate, fake, and definitely not of the Lord and those things will continually get worse, but Walid Shoebat is not one of them. I thank God for the former Muslims who have the courage to speak out like they do. They certainly risk more than any of most of us do to follow Jesus. Just my opinion.Kay
