I happen to be recently looking at Hurricane Alicia and pondering its
significance.
It formed on 8/14/1983 and ended on 8/22/1983.
Afterwards, became the 30th storm name to be retired and never used again, and
Allison was placed in the name rotation which was the 22 storm after Alicia that retired and the
only Atlantic storm retired without becoming a hurricane.
