Dear Jim and Doves, 8/1/07
My heart resonated with the woman who asked if any one else was wondering what was wrong in the “church” today. She is rightly discerning the false teaching and apostasy that we are bombarded with today. I just wanted to say to her that she is blessed to be able to recognize the problem and she is also right that the “watchers” are a very small group in the body of Christ and for the most part are tolerated by family and friends as “kooks” or even worse, “fanatic”. The Lord gave me the gift of being one of His watchmen when he saved my life. I was baptized as an adult in a small Baptist Church at the ripe old age of 40 (24 years ago) and i’ve been expecting Him everyday since then.
In 2003 the Lord gave me a vision which i shared with the Doves but it bears repeating today so here goes….. In the middle of the night i found myself riding on an empty city bus, sitting on the seat behind the driver where the benches face each other. As i was sitting there holding on to the pole beside me two men appeared to come from the back of the bus and one of them took a seat beside me as the other stood in front of me. They were both in their early to mid 30’s. The man beside me was Chinese and the man who stood in front of me was from India. The man standing in front of me had a small tablet in his hand and a pencil. I was so dumbstruck i didn’t know what to say so i just sat there. The standing man said “we have come to give you a riddle”. Finally i spoke and asked what the riddle was (it seemed the natural thing to do). He said to me, “what is two times faster than the past?” What a strange riddle I thought so i asked him again and he repeated the riddle. I didn’t know what he was driving at so i told him i didn’t understand (i was so confounded by the men and the question i couldn’t think). He said to me, “I’ll give you a hint…its a day”. I thought about it and said you mean like the “day of the Lord”. He only responded, “its a day. While i was seated the two men spoke to each other but i didn’t recognize the language they were using as it was not their native tongues. They suddenly vanished and at the same moment i came to my physical senses. Their question haunted me for two days. I asked everyone within ear shot, what does this mean to you? Even my grandkids but no one could come up with an answer. On the morning of the third day i was fixing my coffee and the answer was given to me in a loud voice in my head/heart (?)… “It is the present” to which i instantly responded “what present?....and i heard with clarity “IT IS THE PRESENT DAY, THE PRESENT DAY IS TWO TIMES FASTER THAN THE PAST”. The realization of what i heard nearly knocked me down. The Lord sent those men to tell us that the present day is two times faster than the past. And i am telling you this again because recently i got a newsletter from Israel in which a story about the pastor of King’s Assembly Church” in Jerusalem had an similar encounter and was told that the time was now FOUR times faster than it was. Needless to say it gave me heart to know someone else heard the same message, but now it is even faster…..WOW! He was late for a meeting a few blocks away and looked at his watch and found the second hand was speeding around its face. First he thought the watch was broken. He continued to hurry along and came to a crosswalk and looked at his watch once more. He said he as he thought he would need to get it repaired the Lord spoke to him and told him there is nothing wrong with the watch. The Lord told him that time now is very short. He said the Lord told him that it was FOUR times faster than it used to be. I’m sure you are all familiar with the “frog boiling in the water” illustration, where the heat is turned up slowly until the frog one day finds himself being boiled alive. To me our physical makeup (which is God’s blessing to us) allows us to accommodate changes like this without a whole lot of thought. But, the reality is so overwhelming to me these days that i don’t know how anyone is coping with the fast pace of the days. I can’t dwell on it too much because the reality of it and the physics of it are beyond my comprehension but i know it is true. It seemed the right time to share this again and i hope it helps anyone who reads this note. Meanwhile, be blessed in Jesus today in every way and keep looking up because He is on the way!
