Many are expecting the rapture to occur during the feast of trumpets this year, on the 13th of September. I don't think its going to happen the way many are expecting It to.
 
Many base there belief for the rapture occurring during this feast, on traditional Jewish believes. They are making one fundamental error. The traditional Jews rejected the Messiah, as a result their minds were blinded (and still are) to the true meaning of this feast. It was their traditional understanding of scripture that made them crucify Jesus Christ in the first place. How can those who have rejected the Messiah possibly understand what the feast of Trumpets represents?
 
This is why read,
 
"But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remaining unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ...Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." (2Cor.3:14,16)
 
Only those who acknowledge Jesus as Lord and God can have there minds open to see the hidden mysteries in Scripture that speak ONLY of Jesus Christ. This is what the Lord did for the disciples after His resurrection.
 
"Then He said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the Prophets have spoken...And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them IN ALL THE SCRIPTURE THE THINGS CONCERNING HIMSELF." (Luke 24:25,27)
 
Again we read,
 
Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that ALL THINGS must be FULFILLED which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms CONCERNING ME."  And He OPENED their understanding, that they might comprehend the scriptures. (Luke 24:44,45)
 
This is why it is very important for believers to study the Law (Gen.,Exod.,Lev.,etc), the Prophets (Isa.,Jer.,Lam.,etc.) and the Psalms. This is why the Lord gave us His Holy Spirit. He guides us into all the hidden truths of scripture. He glorifies only Jesus Christ.
 
This is why it is very dangerous to mix traditional Jewish understanding of scripture with what the Holy Spirit has revealed.
 
I believe this is what has happened with the case of the Last trumpet mentioned by Paul and traditional Jewish understanding of scripture.
 
What ever happens lets continue to watch for the Lord's Coming.
