"To Cinda"

Tithing was to provide for the priesthood during the law. If a tithe should be paid today, it should be paid by the world to the believers, since we are a kingdom of priests unto God.  We are also in Christ, and being that He is in the order of Melchizedek, we also must be in that same order (by grafting).

Look around and tell me where are the tithers who cannot contain the increase (according to the oft quoted old Testament verse in Malachi)?  Where are these people?   I exclude the professional promoters of tithing for obvious reasons.

We are to be givers, not under compulsion (not as a requirement of law).  Did Paul ever declare anything but giving?  His words are frequently pulled out of context to promote tithing.  He told gentile believers to keep from fornication and from meat offered to idols and that they would do well. Most of us are gentiles aren’t we?  Why was something added (subsequently – in teachings) to his instruction?

There is a huge conflict of interest in the promotion of tithing.

I hate to say this, but it has all the appearance of a scam. Notice that one issue, among all the laws in the O.T. is transferred over to believers today by the majority of pastors. They probably don’t even think about it, the concept is so widespread.  They are simply wrong.

Give where you want. Giving is a gift, we love to give gifts.
