Gen 49:8 Judah, thou [art he] whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand [shall be] in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
Gen 49:9 Judah [is] a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people [be].
When Jesus was a child, the Romans took the power of life and death from the religious leaders....... they mourned, saying
""woe unto us, for the sceptre has departed and Shiloh has not come"
In a very real way The beginning of the gentiles troddening down Jerusalem began with this event in the first few years AD and not in 70 AD with the destruction of Jerusalem...... someone needs to find out the exact date when the Romans took over power from the Sanhedrin ....... I just don't remember the year....it IS in the history books somewhere... it can be accurately said that today is very close to 2000 years ( two days) since the scepter departed from Judah...
