Dear John and Doves,
How I thank all of you who are praying for me : Mariel, Patty, Peggy, Paul NF, Bill Lane, Jan Mikael and all the other Doves too.
My sweet wife will be driving me to the hospital late tonight and as you already know, she keeps a constant vigil nearby, upholding me with her love and prayers. How I thank God for her and our 33 years of marriage.
And Jan, how happy we were to hear that you will finally have your surgery September the 13th. We kept that in our prayers, hoping that the hospital strike would soon be over. And let us both remember that 13 is a God-blest number ... the 13th Chapter of First Corinthians in unparalleled in the Bible. So we both can rejoice on our hospital dates regarding the 13th ( mine the night before). Thank you for "Don't frighten".
And Patty, how we both hope -- like you -- that a miracle would take place, and that they would not find the aneurysm when it comes time for the surgery. ..that our wonder-working God would remove it by His mighty power. It would not only be a blessing to me, but a great witness to the medical - community, some of whom find that science, medicine and technology have somehow " outdated" God. Wouldn't they be surprised to find out that
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and Forever". Hebrews 13:8
And Patty, we pray that same miraculous healing power for your cancer too. You are very brave to face this all, trusting in His mercy.
As Andre Crouch sings," O the Blood of Jesus, it will Never lose its power."
Thank you Mariel for praying for Harold. We too are keeping your son in our prayers. They do try our patience, but God's mercies and grace are right on time. It is hard to wait on the Lord, but we must never give up on Hope.
"Where's there's life, there's hope', the old saying goes. We must never give up praying for them.
And Peggy, my wife so appreciates your encouragement and messages. She herself will be writing you as your letters mean a lot to her.
Bill Lane and Paul NF, you are good friends of mine and your notes over the years are always filled with meaty Scripture verses and songs ( and graphics ) . How I am grateful for all of my Dove friends and to you John who has made this fellowship possible.
Can any of us imagine what it would be like to face our trials without the brotherly and sisterly support we receive from this fellowship here at the Doves Message Board ? And to think of all the time and effort that John puts into this. I am sure there are many times when he would prefer a rest or vacation, but his tireless efforts are reaping a bountiful harvest that all of us are blest with. Thank you John and may the Lord prosper you in all ways.
So I will go forward in peace knowing that God goes with me, and the prayers of the Doves.
May His love surround you all. May the Rapture be very Soon.
Your brother in Christ Jesus,
Jim Goodrick__
Thanks, Jim. Thanks to all doves who continue to support one another. THANKS to the Lord Jesus!
John
