"Answer to the leftists'
appeal to the President"
Dear friends:
"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the
LORD shall lift up a standard against him" (Isaiah
59:19).
Yesterday I wrote about the almost three dozen members of the religious
left who signed a letter to President Bush urging him to proceed with the
"two-state solution" between Israel and the Palestinians, with
no mention of Israel's vast concessions of the past and the Palestinians'
repeated response with more violence and death, nor the fact that there
has never been a Palestinian nation or culture and the land in question
is part of God's eternal covenant with Israel, nor the fact that the
Palestinians want all the land, not part of it, which anyone with
an IQ of above 50 should know. The whole idea is nonsense, like the
other issues the religious left pursues.
Well, thankfully, today God lifted up a standard against the enemy.
Below is a report from former Presidential candidate and current
President of American Values, Gary L. Bauer:

Religious Left Demands A “Palestine” – We Respond (Gary
Bauer)
Sadly, last week a group of mostly leftwing evangelicals wrote President
Bush urging him to increase pressure on Israel to create a Palestinian
state. They tried to argue that Israel giving up more land would bring
peace. They are wrong. Experience has taught that the more land Israel
cedes to its enemies, the more land those enemies want. Have these people
already forgotten the disasters that followed the pullouts from Gaza and
Lebanon? By the way, one of the signers, Tony Campolo, once said during a
debate with me at Wheaton College that he “feared” then Attorney General
John Ashcroft more than he feared Osama bin Laden. A man that confused is
apt to sign on to a lot of bad ideas.
Today, those of us who support Israel and reject making more concessions
to terrorists responded. Under the leadership of Pastor John Hagee and
Christians United for Israel, we hand delivered a letter to the White
House urging the president to stop pressuring Israel. The letter was
signed by 50 religious leaders, activists and pastors from around the
country, representing millions of pro-Israel Christians. You can read
the letter at our website at www.ouramericanvalues.org.
