"R.I.P.; Minneapolis bridge, 1967-2007"

Dear friends:

Concerning the bridge in Minneapolis that collapsed yesterday, an alert reader told me that the bridge was built in 1967 and collapsed in 2007!  That is quite profound: 1967-2007.  I confirmed it at http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/nation/08/02/0802bridge.html

Another alert reader said:

1) Joseph's tomb in Nablus was desecrated and given to the barbarian Palestinians just the day before..

2)  The very day of the collapse, U.S. Secretary of State Rice was in Israel helping to plot the further dismantling of Israel.

Coincidence?  Is there any such thing?

More information about the bridge and its inherent weakness is at http://www.visi.com/~jweeks/bridges/pages/ms16.html

Another reference to 1967 is found there:
A key factor is that there are only four pylons holding up the arch. Any damage to any one pylon would be catastropic. The textbook example of a non-redundant bridge is the Silver Bridge over the Ohio River. It failed shortly before Christmas in 1967 resulting in 46 deaths.
There's just something about that year!

If anyone does not see the significance of 1967-2007, please write and tell me what century you are in and what planet do you live on. :)
