dear Tony, from my heart i agree, - Simplicity is Beautiful, - our Lord used it again and again. Just think about His words:
Im the Way, the trueth and the Life ! - Jesus never used a single unnecessary word, - He leaved it to us to think it over !
And remember the birth of Jesus, it happen on a very simpleway, so simple that only a handful of people understood it !
I believe in, that in all of us, is a potential story-teller, thats the risen for all those words we use. Sometimes its realy good, but in other situations its not. It can even make people to run away from us, or when they see us. Or to think, its interesting what he say, but there is to much him in it, - and if people have this experience, it is hard to make anything good of it.
Tony, Im sure you understand, that Im not talking about teachings, or when some have experiences to share with us. - But there is time were few words is better, than a whole dictionary. - I my self wish, that I could find that way of simplicity, and leave more place for other to think.
Sunday one of the priests in my church, who are a realy clever woman, did it, she said - You never got a chance - so take it and use it ! - Its hard to understand, but Im sure some peoples think it over, or it will come to their mind again, on the rigth time.
bless to you in the name of Jesus. - Jan Mikael !
PS: and thanks for sharing your articles about David and Absolom with us, its realy interesting observations, and it make me think of a lot. Im not finish with this studie, so I have asked the Holy Spirit for help, saying: Lord if there is somethings you want me to understand or see, then please let it happen !

"Re Jan: Thanks!"Simplicity is beautiful.
Jan I have loved Psalm 23 as many have, that’s why it’s a “famous” verseI love the translation of the first verse you used:
Psalm 23 >>
World English Bible
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------1 A Psalm by David. Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
I shall lack nothing (in Yahweh)
Indeed!!!!!!!!
Blessings,
Tony
