"Faster than the speed of light"

Faster then the Speed of Light - every eye shall see Him

Revelation 1:7  Behold, He is coming with the clouds and every eye shall see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him…”

I was very interested in Stephen Yulish’ letter about the German physicists who have (apparently) broken the speed of light.  A timely discovery!.  The above verse in Revelation has fascinated Christians and many (well intended) preachers have suggested that this promise from the Word may perhaps be fulfilled through electronic means/satellites.  No - Jesus will come at faster than the speed of light.

Consider this.  The speed of light is around 300 000 kilometres per second and the circumference of the earth approximately 40 100 kilometres.  If (hypothetically) when Jesus returned and circled the earth, just above the surface at the equator, it would take about 1/7 of a second.  But He is not limited to the speed of light and will appear throughout the Earth simultaneously - although His earthly destination will be Jerusalem.  This discovery is simply a reminder to the world that with God all things are possible!

And those of us who look for His invisible coming for His church will have a ‘grandstand’ view - and we will come with Him.  Something to look forward to in 7+ x years (x = the unknown variable!).  Thanks Stephen - I’m excited about this discovery!  Maranatha  Denis
