I would tend to have been skeptical with regards to the 4:44 experience if I had not being seeing this myself for about a year and a half. Mine have been happenstance glances during the daytime, and just two days ago while mulling eschatology in my mind in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I get out of bed on most days before 4:44 am, plus my eyes could not see the clock across the room anyway without the "inserts".
 
Our 7 year old son woke us up this morning in time to see the eclipse at 3:30 am here (this rarely happens and I had not planned to expend with my short sleeping time).
 
I would say that more people seem to be sensing this one over last year.  All the research seems to vindicate it.
