I posted a report by Matt Drudge from Reuters last night on
the "Radiological Threat For New York, Los Angeles and Miami
then the world "STOPPED" here in the Mena, Arkansas area. I
did not know people were emailing me, "Where's that link?"

All long-distance phone service went down, cell phones were
giving ~ "NO SIGNAL." No posting or even checking for the
emails? NONE! Then this morning "SAME!" Went to town. Paid
cash for food, gas, etc. No credit cards working, no gas
cards working, Bank problems, shopping problems, stores with
people getting water, food, etc. and with worried looks on
their faces.

Now me and my wife and others I know have been prepared as
much as we could so the town trip was an option for us, but
mainly to see what was happening and the difficulties being
presented. People seemed orderly and understanding with the
stores unable to sell with other than cash or check. Nothing
else -- no other option.

The gasoline stations were not too busy as they were having
difficulty with sales other than cash. So many just stayed
home or didn't gas up right now. I topped our vehicle off as
didn't know direction this might all take? I don't know the
complete area affected, but just where I was in Mena area.

About 4:00pm this Saturday evening, August 11, 2007 services
seemed to be coming back up here. However, Thursday & Friday,
I had received a number of phone calls and emails ref: stock
market situation, Russian Bombers over Guam bases and fleet
there, much chatter in connection with possible trouble that
might come in these last 2 weeks of August. AND now all the
sudden, Friday night late and Saturday morning, if I was going
to send out a "Heads-Up" by email or posts ~ Well I couldn't!!!

I couldn't even pick up a land-line phone and call someone to
warn them or use a cell phone. NO PHONES WORKING !

So, today as I sit here about 5:00pm and write this I ponder
and think ~~~ Is that how it will be when it "Hits The FAN!"
NO COMMUNICATION POSSIBLE ???
YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN ???

Something to think about? What about a Heads-Up from Larry
Taylor?
