"Re Matt - The Ten "Lost" Tribes"

Hi John Tng,

The following comments are in response to Matt re "The Ten "Lost" Tribes". This is where I think he is coming from.

1.    Matt is a son of God, a citizen of God's Kingdom and an ambassador of Christ. His nationalistic fervor as a citizen of the Kingdom surpasses that of his earthly national and cultural ethnic loyalties. As much as he may love his country and appreciate his Anglo-American-ness, he realizes that his allegiance and identity is firstly in God and the Kingdom.

2.    Matt is objective and courageous enough to see himself as a member of a people group (Anglo-American) that has and is playing a dominant role in shaping modern world history. And he senses that no power, nation or people of earth is capable of cleaning up what he sees as "a complete and almost total mess".

3.    As a citizen of a heavenly country, Matt does not seem to care much for earthly national, ethnic differences. He is all eyes for the Saviour alone and appears to see all nations on earth as equals since in Christ "the wall separating Israeli and Gentile" has been broken down.

4.    Matt finishes off by stating "Time is getting short". I think he is trying to stay focussed and not get distracted from being ready for what is to come shortly. And he feels it is his duty to encourage his brothers and sisters to do the same. To be descriptive - I think the man is in his seat, all strapped in, eyes heaven-ward and ready for lift off.

Finally, I don't think there's anything wrong with geneologies or theorizing about "lost tribes". It is probably quite interesting. Just don't forget what your TRUE identity, ethnicity and nationality is. Behold, thy King cometh!!
