"Re:  Bonnie Gaunt (10 Aug 2006),"Jubilee study" - Mathematical Error"

Re:  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2006/bonnieg810.htm

By the grace of God, since the subject of a mathematical error came up, thought I'd point out another.

From Page 6:  If one takes November 2, 1917 and June 7, 1967 and assigned that the "golden proportion" of 1.618.  Then figured out in the timeline where 1 hits, the date would not be May 14, 1948.

I had first noticed this after reading Bonnie Gaunt's book, "Time and the Bible's Number Code" which my copy was published in 2001.  On page 153 is a very astounding statement.  "The Golden Proportion of that 50-year span lands precisely on May 14, 1948 - to the day!"

This seemed just too amazing to be true so I had to verify it for myself.  Excel is a very easy tool to use for this task to keep from making any errors versus trying to use a calculator.  I typed in November 2, 1917 in a cell and June 7, 1967 in another cell.  I then subtracted one cell from the other in another cell.  I found there were 18,114 days between these two dates, (by formatting this cell as a number in Excel).  To be accurate to the day I'd need 5 significant digits.  Fortunately the "Golden Proportion", or Phi, which is an irrational number, to 5 significant digits is 1.6180.  So the number in the middle of these two dates would be the ratio of 1 over the total of 1.618.  So dividing 18,114 by 1.618, (11,195.3 days)  and adding this to the cell that contains the date November 2, 1917 gave me a the new date, (when formatted as a date)., which is June 27, 1948.  So we missed May 14, 1948 by a good month.

Okay - Let's for fun try adding 11,195.3 days to June 7, 1967.  We get January 30, 1998.  Adding 18,114 days gives us January 9, 2017.

But before we leave the subject of the "Golden Proportion", I'd highly recommend what James Harrison has to say about it in his book "The Pattern & The Prophecy", pages 107-130 where he devotes basically 23 pages to it showing how Phi is connected to many things including man's navel and the pentagram. And how the navel is the symbol of Man's fall and the pentagram is the symbol of Lucifer's fall.

Now if one uses Phi to get a date between the start of the Jubilee on Tishri 1 in 1997 and the start in 2046 we have October 2, 1997 and October 1, 2046.  This gives us January 13, 2028, Tevet 14.   I personally don't see anything here.  But the question should be asked whether we are wise to expect to see something using an irrational number?.

If one stays with the original calendar Jubilee's for Tishri 1 in 1966 (September 15, 1966) and 2015 (September 14, 2015), the Phi date gives us  December 26, 1996, Tevet 16.

Now, I'd like to completely leave the subject of Phi.  After reading James Harrison's book it just borders way too much on the occult.

Now, there is much to praise about Bonnie's Jubilee article.  Bonnie's 2001 book shows the 70th Jubilee as starting in 2024.  That doesn't fit any timeline I know about unless it starts a 10 year countdown that gets us to 2034.

Bonnie's Jubilee article has the 52nd Jubilee starting fall 2015 which fits exactly the timeline I think best fits the evidence, (as I've written about in quite a few 5 Doves posts, the EndofAge.Com website, and 2004 book, "Passion, Power & Glory".)

So, of course, I'm embracing whole-heartedly Bonnie's current research into the Jubilee cycle as far as it shows the 50th Jubilee starting in 1917 (Balfour and Allenby) and the 52nd Jubilee starting in 2015.  I think it would indeed be a year of Jubilee when Jesus Christ returns to Earth to vanquish His (and our) enemies, hopefully in 2015.

(I know, most people are more interested in discussing rapture timing instead of 2nd coming timing.  But a lot of people count back from His second coming timing to arrive at days to watch for the rapture.)

Shalom,
