Dear Linda (and Doves),The subject matter of the ten lost tribes is immense, and one in which we
are fortunate in that many writers and researchers have gone before us,
investing much time and energy in bringing us a fuller picture of who these
tribes are today, what happened in their histories, and how they have
fulfilled - and are fulfilling - the words spoken over them by the Almighty
through the mouths of the prophets. This knowledge is crucial to
understanding prophecy for today, picking one's way through the constant
bombardment of current events and discerning what signs might be coming to
pass in our day.As you say, Linda, Christians in general have been hoodwinked into thinking
that biblical Israel is the same as the nation of Israel today. This was my
position some twenty years ago, and it took three years of careful study and
thought before I acknowledged the truth that the Christian nations of
northwestern Europe, the British Isles, North America, and the British
Commonwealth are the physical descendants of the biblical Northern Kingdom
of Israel.
(I see, too, that Linda Freeman has written an excellent follow-up letter on
the tribes. She has a great way of explaining these truths to people
unfamiliar with the subject. Yes, these truths should inspire in us humility
and reverence. And yes, becoming a Christian automatically grafts you into
the vine of Israel, regardless of race. Another wonderful offering, thank
you Linda Freeman).
You are correct, too, when you say that the Northern Kingdom of Israel
(Ephraim) and the Southern Kingdom of Judah (our Jewish brothers) have
different destinies to fulfill in accordance with the Almighty's plan as
spoken through the prophets. The beautiful thing is that the Lord appears to
be ready to combine the two sticks of Joseph and Judah together in our day,
making them one in His hand (Ezekiel 37). Isn't it amazing how the words of
Ezekiel, in particular, seem to be coming alive in so many ways in our
present day! There are some very good websites dealing with the subject of the lost
tribes and their regrouping into the Christian nations of the West. No one
website has all the answers, and indeed the location of certain tribes into
a single nation is not a simple matter of saying 'this nation is Asher, and
this nation is Benjamin'. Nevertheless, the overall thesis is powerfully
supported by Scripture, and vindicated by history and the world's present
geopolitical state of affairs.Today I would like to share some things on the United States, some of which
you would never have come across before. It's something God has shown me
down through the years as I have become aware of His plan for all the
tribes. God shows us things as we move towards Him, in whichever way that
movement takes place. As Christians, this has always been our experience.
What I will share concerns the symbols depicted on the Great Seal of the
United States of America; in particular, the manner in which the Great Seal
is found on the one dollar bill. There is a story for the ages in there that
no one has told yet, and that will be the subject matter of this
correspondence. I will break it into two parts as there is a lot to get
through, too much for one reading. But before getting into it, I would just like to share an online article I
read this week in the Asia Times. Living in Korea, I have generally enjoyed
this author's views for quite some time, and feel that he really pinned
something that I believe to be intrinsic to the spirit of America. I was
very impressed by this article, and am sure you will also enjoy the writer's
other comments herein.http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/HH08Aa01.htm
So what can I tell you about the Great Seal that hasn't already been
written? Quite a lot, actually! The first thing you've got to get out of
your head - presuming it was ever there in the first place - is the drivel
many people have written claiming the symbols on the Great Seal are from
Freemasonry and therefore of the devil. This was the version I first
encountered some twenty-two years ago from a Christian writer, who went to
great and fanciful lengths to show transparencies of the Great Seal and how
the observe and reverse sides overlapped to produce so-called pagan and
masonic imagery. At the time I was impressionably new in the Lord, and had
no experience in the Word as a buttress against these damning lies I read.
But I kept an open mind, and in time God revealed the truth of the Great
Seal to me as I sought the matter out.
The sad thing is that believers are at the forefront of perpetrating and
perpetuating these lies, blinded by a fearful overdose of superstition and a
wild imagination, coupled to a singular lack of careful searching of matters
out through prayer and reading of the Word. Our enemy never ceases in trying
to counterfeit the truth, and Scripture must always be our reference in
refuting the beguiler. Beware of conspiracy freaks coming in sheep's
clothing! There are a lot of them out there in cyberspace. You can spot them
by their wild and unsubstantiated hyperbole, and the fact that every symbol
they ever meet seems to have some satanic origin to them.Beginning on the Great Seal, I would advise you to read through an article
done by Richard McGough of the Bible Wheel website to get a grounding in
what's to follow:http://www.biblewheel.com/GR/GR_GreatSeal.asp
I was able to help Richard with his article, specifically in relation to the
Eye of God: its reference to the 16th letter ayin, meaning 'eye'; and the
grouping of the year 1776 into sets of the number 16 as dictated by the
Roman alphanumerics.
Richard rightly notes that this eye inscribed by the triangle represents the
Eye of Providence. We might know who Divine Providence refers to by reading
the seminal text of the Old Testament, viz Genesis 22. Divine Providence is
none other than Jehovah-jireh, the God who provides. Both the English word
'providence' and the Hebrew word 'jireh' have their roots in the verb 'to
see'. To check the Hebrew you can use Gesenius' Hebrew lexicon at the Blue
Letter Bible website. For its part, the English word has its roots in the
Latin 'pro' and 'videre', meaning 'to see (ahead)'.
Read the story again at Genesis 22, particularly verse 14: 'In the mountain
of the LORD it shall be seen' - b'har Yahweh yireh - has an analogue in the
Eye of Providence overseeing the pyramid, which resembles a mount. (NB: Most
versions translate the last word as 'provided').Which brings us to the pyramid. The pyramid has no physical capstone,
instead being capped by the Eye of Providence, which is made of light. This
is the stone rejected by the builders, spoken of at Psalm 118:22-27. Note
the reference to light (the capstone, or head cornerstone) and eyes in these
verses, in what is a peculiarly American psalm (compare verses 8 and 9 to
the motto, 'In God We Trust' as found on the dollar bill).
Jesus quoted this psalm to the Jewish clergy, telling them that the kingdom
of God would be taken from them and given to a nation worthy of the calling,
which I believe to be America (Matthew 21:28-46).
Peter also referred to this psalm, using pyramid imagery as seen on the
Great Seal: 'lively stones, built up a spiritual house'; and a 'stone which
is made the head of the corner', that is, a capstone (1 Peter 2:4-10). In a
related gematrical twist, the first epistle of Peter begins with the writer
announcing himself as Petros apostolos, Peter the apostle, which has a value
of 1776. Furthermore, the name and title of Petros apostolos - the first two
Greek words written by Peter in the Bible - translates into English as
'commissioned stone', or 'the stone that has been appointed'.
There is a veiled reference here to the Great Pyramid in Egypt, which has no
capstone. There is much literature written on the Great Pyramid, some within
a Christian context. An interesting website on the subject is:http://www.hunkler.com/pyramid.htm
Some folks believe the Great Pyramid is the altar spoken of in Isaiah
19:19,20. If so, it makes an interesting parallel with Genesis 22, where
Abraham was to offer his son upon an altar before the LORD Himself,
Jehovah-jireh, provided a sacrifice. It also parallels Psalm 118:27, where
we have the image of God as light presiding over the altar.
The theme of the pyramid-as-altar takes us even deeper into the symbolism
encoded in the Great Seal. This time we have to delve into Mazzaroth, the
biblical Hebrew for the twelve constellations of the zodiac.I haven't as yet found a good internet reference where the twelve tribes are
correctly correlated with the twelve constellations. The only source I've
ever found that got all twelve correlations correct is Bullinger in his
'Witness of the Stars', which can be found online at philologos.org.
Bullinger also informs us of the ancient Akkadian names of the twelve star
signs as well as the month names, the vestiges of which remain to us this
day in the names of the twelve zodiac signs and the names of the twelve
months. (NB: the Akkadians were contemporary with Abraham, who would have
learnt about these constellations). There always was a balancing in
time-keeping between the solar (zodiac / Mazzaroth) and lunar calendars
which, incidentally, involved the numbers 12 and 13.
The original solar / zodiacal name for the sign we know today as Libra was
Bir. Bullinger tells us this word means 'lamp', 'light' or 'fire'. In fact,
this word Bir is the same as the first syllable in 'pyramid', and means
'within light' or 'house of light'. It may even be the root of the word
Libra.
The lunar name for the time of the year in which the sun was in the sign of
Bir was Tul-ku, which means 'holy altar' or 'sacred mound'. So what we have
on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States of America is the
millennia old original of the sign of Libra. (I have read on Wikipedia that
the Egyptian name of Libra was 'Mountain of the Sun', but I have been unable
to substantiate that claim).
The original sign of Libra was a sacred altar (lunar name which represents
the physical world) upon which the eternal flame burned (solar name equating
to spirit). In effect, the original sign of Libra represented the united
states of heaven and earth in perfect balance. This is what we are seeing
symbolised on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States.Subsequently the sign of Libra transformed into the scales, representing the
loss of that balance between God and man, essentially the story of the Fall.
There's a tremendous amount of learning in this aspect which cannot be fully
covered here. However, it is noteworthy that most students of the
constellations attribute a late date to the constellation of Libra. This is,
of course, the work of the beguiler, who tried to steal both heaven and
earth for himself. And when he failed, he tried to cover the whole story up.
So we have the corrupted story of the scales of justice supposedly being at
one time in the hands of Virgo (the sin of Eve?), and at another time in the
claws of the Scorpion (the devil in the garden of Eden).
The tribe of Levi correlates to the sign of Libra. I will go into this
wonderful story another time; suffice for now the role of the tribe of Levi
in teaching God's law to Israel. Levi's name has a meaning of 'united'
(Genesis 29:34; the Darby translation uses the word 'united' instead of
'joined', but they mean the same thing). The tribe of Levi was at the centre
of the Wilderness Encampment, and kept charge over the tabernacle. At night,
a pillar of fire rested above the tabernacle, and this is also seen on the
reverse of the Great Seal. The Eye of Providence is the Shekinah presence
seen over Israel by night, for the reverse side of the Great Seal symbolises
night, the past and beginnings. Within the tabernacle was found the altar. There are many more allusions to be made from the symbols on the reverse
side of the Great Seal. As a symbol of Egypt, the pyramid fulfills for the
third time the words in Hosea 11:1 and Matthew 2:15. The first fulfillment
deals with Israel coming out of Egypt and servitude. The second deals with
God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, coming out of Egypt. The third deals with
America, emerging as a Christian nation, free from European religious
bondage.
The connection doesn't end there, for both Ephraim and Manasseh were born in
Egypt and had an Egyptian mother of high standing. One of their grandfathers
was Israel (who later adopted them as his own sons), and the other was an
Egyptian priest who served in the proximity of the pyramids. America
represents the sons of Joseph, particularly Manasseh. On the birth of
Manasseh, Joseph - his father - was moved to say that he had forgotten the
rancour of his own father's house (Genesis 41:51), an experience coterminous
with the first Americans fleeing religious persecution in Europe. Not being a great student of American history, I do, however, note that the
name Manassas refers to the place where the first land battle of the Civil
War occurred. This name is therefore indelibly marked on the American
conscience, for I am aware of how deep the scars of the Civil War go in the
American psyche. Underpinning this powerful nexus of America to Manasseh is
the fact that this first major battle of the Civil War - taking place at
Manassas - became known as the First Bull Run. To the Confederates it is
called the Battle of First Manassas, and to the Unionists it is called the
First Bull Run. Both sides in the Civil War gave this first battle a name
that coincides with Manasseh! For, remarkably, Joseph's Mazzaroth sign is
the Bull, and Ephraim and Manasseh are the horns (Deuteronomy 33:13-17).
Being the firstborn of Joseph, Manasseh is entitled to be called the First
Bull.http://www.civilwarhome.com/1Manassas.htm
There is another awesome aspect of the reverse of the Great Seal that I will
leave you with. It occurs as the Great Seal is placed on the one dollar
bill. We have seen that the Eye of Providence over the Great Pyramid is the
original sign of Libra - Bir and Tul-ku - representing heaven and earth in a
united state. Having had this knowledge for several years, I was stunned one
day when I held the dollar bill up to the light and looked at the pyramid.
Showing through on the pyramid from the other side of the bill I saw a pair
of scales! Libra! The symbol is that of the Treasury, a pair of scales above
a pyramid emblazoned with thirteen stars, and a key beneath. These, in turn,
are stamped upon the word ONE.
If you've been able to follow all this till now you will get a sense of my
amazement when I discovered this on the one dollar bill. God opens more of
the puzzle as we press on. One more thing: the sign of Libra correlates to
Levi, meaning 'united', the third son of Israel; and his breastplate stone
was the bareqeth, the third breastplate stone, our modern emerald. You will
note the emerald green colour of the Treasury stamp on every dollar bill.
The greenback.I would like to finish up here, and will continue with Part 2 when I have
some free time, dealing with the symbols on the obverse side of the Great
Seal. It contains an equally remarkable story, especially in relation to
Mazzaroth and the thirteenth sign on the ecliptic, Ophiuchus. Yes, there
really are thirteen zodiac signs: the interplay between the numbers 12 and
13 being both a biblical theme - the 12 tribes in the Wilderness Encampment
with Levi in the centre; the 12 apostles around Christ - and a theme in the
heavens. In passing, I found a most interesting parallel in the words above
the pyramid, Annuit coeptis. There are 13 letters in the phrase, but one of
them is a diphthong, so there are also 12 letters in the phrase! More on
this next time.
I trust this might prove a blessing to those who read.Yours in Christ,
Stephen Coneglan
