"GET THE ANOINTING INTO THE MARKETPLACE"
Are You Ready for a Double Portion Anointing?
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall
be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy
neck, and
the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."
Isaiah 10:27
Prophetically, I believe that we are in a season when God desires
to increase the anointing and also increase our joy. As God releases
expansion and increase into our lives, we will also experience
the "voice of joy!" (See Jeremiah 33:11) Isn't that an awesome
thought? We will actually have a voice that will be joyful.
So many of us have been experiencing seasons of drought and desolation.
At the same time that we are in the wilderness, God is encouraging
us to believe that we will once again experience the joy of the
Lord, which will give us hope for our future.
Birthing the Promises Releases Increase
God's heart is to release great measures of increase, but first,
His main concern is that we increase IN HIM. God desires to overshadow
us with His presence. Just as when His Spirit overshadowed Mary,
the mother of Jesus, she became pregnant with His seed. We also,
when overshadowed by Him, can become spiritually pregnant with
His divine will.
As God's divine will is being established
on this earth, there will be more times that God's Spirit overshadows
us.
By continuing to pray "...thy will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven," we will continue to embrace His Kingdom being established
within us. And, as we become more pregnant with greater Kingdom
vision, the anointing will increase in our lives, empowering us
with Christ's anointing to break yokes of oppression off of our
own lives as well as others.
Stages of Pregnancy
By envisioning a pregnant woman, we can recognize increase at
different stages of her pregnancy. At three months, the seed has
grown only a small degree and may barely be noticeable. Though
increase is occurring, it may not be seen by the natural eye,
however the mother knows there are changes taking place inside
of her, and though it is not "seen," she KNOWS she is pregnant.
The mother's faith arises, and joy begins to take root as she
realizes that God has released her from barrenness. She often
will want to "show off" the small amount of increase, so that
others will begin to rejoice with her. But, she cannot be satisfied
at this level; there is not nearly enough increase yet. There
is still much growth that must occur for the full JOY to be experienced.
By the next trimester (another three months; remember three means
completion), there is a noticeable increase. There is more growth
occurring, more changes are taking place, and the mother makes
greater preparation for the delivery of her promise. However,
she cannot stop growing even at this level. To stop increasing
could cause a death, ending the fullness of the promise. She presses
in with great determination to grow as much as possible, so that
every area of the promise comes to completion. The heartbeat of
the promise is strong at this point; she can hear its sound ever
more clearly...yes, she will endure until the end!
Then at the time of delivery, there is a GREAT increase, as it
is now time to birth. The third trimester has arrived; nine months
of pregnancy, which is three trimesters times three. In Bible
numerology, the number three symbolizes "completion and fulfilled
promises." In the multiplication process of three times three
(3X3) is double portion completion! Hallelujah. I want a double
portion of joy and anointing, don't you?
Then Joy is Released!
Through this season of increase, you will notice that great expectation
begins to build. By the time the baby is due, joy is beginning
to bubble up inside the woman's spirit. At the time of delivery,
there is much happiness, excitement, and joy that is finally released!
Now, the joy has a VOICE...the release of tears, excitement, and
expectation has now circled full term and the voice of gladness
is resident.
This same experience of birthing the promises which release
increase and anointing, has been held in the Heavenlies for each
of us. We are like Queen Esther who was born "...for such a time
as this" (Esther 4:14). With each season of increase (though
being pregnant is uncomfortable and tiring), the heartbeat of
the Father is stronger. We can hear the beat in the Spirit, and
that particular sound encourages us as we press toward the mark
of His high calling. We, too, will release the voice of joy as
we experience the completion of His promises.
Getting the Anointing out of the Box
The reason why the Lord spoke to me and said "Get the anointing
out of the box!" was because He desires to increase the level
of anointing upon our lives. And, the increase is released to
greater measures when we begin to "get the anointing out of the
box!"
Think about this for a minute. Once more, we need to compare our
spiritual pregnancy to a woman carrying a child in her womb. The
baby is confined in an enclosed area. There is limited growth
because the womb is small. Plus, the woman can only physically
care for the seed for a specific time. There is no real enlargement
until the baby comes forth into its enlargement. We call this
period of time "birthing."
When we are spiritually pregnant, the very same containment
will occur if we do not act upon vision and release it from its
enclosed area. Only when the release of the vision occurs can
full increase come forth. Just as when a child in the womb cannot
grow larger and increase in stature and maturity, our own anointing
and vision is contained and stagnant if it remains inside of us.
Dear ones, there has to be an outlet for the anointing.
God
wants us to begin to think "outside the box" when we release that
anointing! Because we have had spiritual mindsets, we have believed
we could only minister within the four walls of a local assembly.
But, to experience the full increase, we must be totally submitted
to building the Kingdom of God everyplace that we go.
Reaching the Multitudes
Once more, the anointing is not limited to the four walls of a
church building.
Saints, you are the church!
Please do not misinterpret the revelation I am attempting to convey.
I was a pastor for fourteen years and therefore, I believe that
the corporate anointing in the local assembly is not only necessary,
it is directed by God for training, equipping, and maturing Disciples
of Christ. Also, when believers gather together in a corporate
setting, there is a tangible corporate anointing that can only
manifest through unity of the assembly.
However,
unless we as believers are also ministering OUTSIDE
the church building, we will not reach the multitudes. The multitudes
to be reached are within your sphere of influence. The multitudes
are in your work place, in the restaurants, in the grocery stores,
at your children's ball games, and sport events.
The problem with reaching the lost is that most people believe
we have to bring them into the church building to get them saved.
There is a religious mindset that only the traditional priesthood
is called and qualified to minister to the lost.
Believe!
Precious Saints, hear me--the multitudes can get saved in your
home, at the business, and yes...after a football game over a
cup of coffee. And, they don't need a pastor or teacher or even
a five-fold minister to lead them to Christ! They simply need
a BELIEVER to lead them to salvation! Ever notice that the word
"believer" has BELIEVE in it?
Do you really believe in yourself, and that you are a minister
of the gospel? Well, if you believe in Him, then you are called
to minister the gospel and lead someone to Christ. Also,
if
you are a believer, you are anointed to heal the sick, cast out
devils, and experience signs and wonders. The Word says that signs
and wonders will follow those who BELIEVE!
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall
they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues." (Mark
16:17)
Why Not the Signs and Wonders?
So then, why aren't we ALL experiencing the signs and wonders?
I have listed several reasons below:
1. Lack of knowledge.
2. Not believing that ALL are ministers of the gospel.
3. Doubt and unbelief.
4. Fear of making mistakes.
5. Fear of rejection.
6. Believing one is unworthy.
7. Not dead to self.
8. We limit where the Holy Spirit can minister and how He can
minister.
However,
if we will "let go and let God," and allow the Holy
Spirit to lead and guide us into our "getting the anointing out
of the box," I believe these manifestations will occur:
1. There will be liberty (wherever the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty!)
2. Self will get out of the way and God can lead.
3. We can complete our apostolic assignments (meaning that we
will be the "sent ones" with great authority).
4. Compassion for others will develop with us.
5. Faith will arise to minister.
6. Courage and boldness will arise within us.
7. Our reputations will no longer matter.
8. Fear of the unknown will be conquered.
9. We will become doers of the Word and not hearers only.
There are Four Lethal Misbeliefs
Many of God's children will not step out and minister to others
because they have not been taught nor encouraged to do so.
Here are four basic misbeliefs that keep the anointing contained.
Many believe that:
1. There is a God-ordained division between the clergy and laity.
2. The Church is called to operate primarily inside a building
which is often referred to as a temple.
3. People involved in business cannot be as spiritual as those
serving in traditional Church ministry.
4. The primary role of marketplace Christians is to make money
to support the vision of others, such as those "in full-time"
ministry or for the vision of a local assembly. Meaning that they
are not seeing themselves as ministers that are equipped to minister
the gospel right where they are.
Get the Anointing Into the Marketplace
Were you aware that during New Testament times, evangelistic
"crusades" were not planned events? In Ed Sylvoso's book, Anointed
for Business, he explained that the crusade gatherings simply
occurred whenever and wherever God's miraculous power caused people
to take notice. He said that the early Christians made the marketplace
their focal point of their ministry. They actually witnessed to
people at their businesses. But, it was more than witnessing salvation;
they performed signs and wonders in their marketplace!
There are close to forty power encounters recorded in the book
of Acts, and only one occurred in a religious venue, which was
the healing at Gate Beautiful (Acts 3:1-11). In order for this
to happen today in our businesses, we will have to begin to think
outside the box! We have limited most of the ministry inside a
religious venue and setting.
You Are A Full-time Minister Wherever You Are
One of my apostolic/prophetic assignments is to challenge every
saint to NOT leave their sphere of influence simply because they
want to minister the gospel.
There is a religious mindset that
says, "We cannot be effective in the ministry unless we have a
traditional full-time ministry, such as a pulpit ministry in a
local assembly or a full-time traveling ministry."
Many feel that to be a full-time minister, it requires that we
are employed 100% by a ministry. Saints, please hear me, you are
a full-time minister wherever you are. Meaning that we are on
call, 24-hours a day to minister the Word as the Spirit leads,
and to minister unto Christ. To think that we would only minister
for Him part-time would be compromising our call as believers!
Though many of us are called out of the workplace, not everyone
is called into a church pulpit. There are many anointed saints
that are being used to shake and shift their places of employment.
Please, do not leave where God may be trying to use you. Your
assignment may be to remain right where you are until the Lord
gives you another assignment.
He Plans Your Path
God is our provider, and I believe that if you are assigned to
a particular place, there will be sufficient provision. If you
leave your assigned place prematurely, it may be that God has
not "sent you," and you may enter into a season where there was
no preparation by His Spirit.
If your workplace seems like a Wilderness, ask the Lord for
the grace to remain in the Wilderness until it is time for Him
to lead you out. He has a divinely planned path for you that
will lead you out of your dry place. Though your path may appear
difficult, don't look for an alternate route; you may not be ready
for the warfare that waits to attack along the other route.
He builds the necessary muscles needed for the path He has you
travel. He knows exactly which path you are able to travel, and
knows all of the preparation needed to empower you to go in His
direction.
You Are Just as Important to the Kingdom
God wants to use you right where you are. I tell you this because
many feel that if they could only quit their job, God could use
them to minister. Instead, minister where you are until He opens
the door or directs you differently. You are just as important
to the Kingdom right where you are.
Once again, religious mindsets prevent marketplace ministers from
believing that they are just as called and anointed as a minister
who has been to Bible College. Though many of the clergy are trained
in Bible College or seminary, this does not make them any more
called or anointed; it is simply a different call and sphere of
influence.
The five-fold ministry is called to train and equip the saints,
however, there are many five-fold ministers that are called into
the marketplace to shift finances for the Kingdom. They are strategically
placed in boardrooms and government to pray and shift finances
that will filter money into the Kingdom of God.
Ask God for Opportunities to Minister
You may be asking what you can do as a marketplace minister. Well,
simply begin by praying over your workplace, and ask God to open
opportunities to minister the gospel. You can intercede for your
employer and the employees. Make a friend and minister to that
friend over lunch. It is easy to plant spiritual seeds of God's
love by showing kindness and compassion at your workplace by simply
dropping a card of appreciation to someone who may be struggling
for affirmation.
Pick one night a week, and devote that night to ministering to
someone in your workplace over dinner. Open up your home and ask
someone over for a meal, and minister Jesus to them or simply
pray for their needs over the telephone. Take a walk during your
lunch break and instead of eating, consider it a fast, and pray
in the Spirit the entire time. During your walk, ask God to help
you pray in the Spirit for the perfect will of God for your employer
and your workplace.
In other words,
"Get the anointing out of the box and into
the Marketplace!"
