"Incredible TV show last night. did you see it?"

Doves: It is amzaing to me the quality and number of "religious" shows on the History Channel and Discovery Channel over the course of this year.  Have you noticed??  Some are very solid......some not so much.  But, none the less, there is ALOT of information getting to the "public square" on subjects about the Rapture, the return of Christ, Armageddon, and so on......I am amazed.

Last night, I stumbled across the History Channel show, The Exodus Decoded.  WOW, was it good!
It made a compelling case for the "cause" of the plagues in Egypt that led up to the Exodus of the Jews; a very, very compelling and well done show.  I know, I know....... can a person ever rationalize how a natural catastrophy (a volcanic eruption on the island of Santorini) explains God's plagues on the Egyptians? The show even addressed that, and the conclusion they came up with was already on my mind. That being, why couldn't God use the natural events in the world He created to do ANYTHING He wanted to do??  Thus, God simply manipulated nature to do what He needed.  I actually find that even more fascinating, and evidences God's existence even more for me.

And......for the finale to the show, they suggested that a museum in Santorini might even hold a key to what the Ark of the Covenant might look like IF there might be a picture of it hidden "in plain sight" in the museum.  And there was........a one dimensional ancient priest's gold emblem.  They took this and blew it up into a 3-D graphic that then represnted a view from INSIDE the Holy of Holies (in the traveling temple the Jews had during the 40 years in the desert) looking out toward the front courtyard at the ramp leading up to the alter where the lambs where sacrificed.  And, as the 3-D graphic was created, they then did a 3-D "fly-around" over the Ark of the Covenant.  WOW!

It made me wonder how close we might be to actually finding the Ark....which is a latter day expectation.

Anyway......these are interesting times, indeed.  It makes sense that information like this would now be discovered.  (And, is anyone surprised that the ceasefire in Lebanon might not hold??)
An interesting week lies ahead, with Iran giving the world it's answer on the nuclear issue, soon to be followed by the UN's sanctions.....followed by Irans response to that...etc, etc, etc. And it all rachets up a notch, doesn't it?

And tonight, Monday, on the History Channel, 9pm eastern, you can watch: Jesus' Jerusalem.

YFIC.....Randy

PS:  I still like the scenario that compares the 40 years of the Exodus wandering i the desert after NOT going into the land God told them to take; and the 40 years from Christ's crucifiction to the destruction of Jerusalem after they rejected God's Son; with the 40 years from the retaking of Jerusalem in 1967, but NOT the Tample Mount)  to a possible rapture then in 2007......I don't know, rapture at Rosh Hashanah 2006 to Rosh Hashanah 2007??  I hope, I hope........
