The "other" Matt (Hayward) had some comments, so I'll add my own.First, What does the Bible say about this "lost" tribe issue? It says
beware claiming to be a Jew if you are not one:"and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not,
but are the synagogue of Satan....Behold, I will make them of the
synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do
lie..." (Revelation)So lying about being a Jew is not tollerated, and European Americans
shouldn't do it based upon wild speculation.Second:
Despite 10 tribes being "lost", the various Jews in the north, who had
respect for the LORD, left Ephraim during the reign of its wicked
kings, and moved south into Judah. Therefore, all 10 tribes are
represented in Judah even after the north is carried away into
captivity. We see that in the begining of book of James, addressed to
the "twelve tribes" scattered abroad. He did not say "two tribes" but
"twelve."Third:
The half-breed mongrel Samaritans, composed of the descendants of the 10
tribes mixed with Babylonians and Assyrians, are not considered to be
"Jews" by the Lord Jesus Christ. He says to the Samaritan woman, "Ye
worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of
the Jews." (John 4).Therefore, even if mixed Jewish tribes scattered about the world, they
would have lost their status as "Jews" and be regarded as gentiles.
("Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.")
Fourth:
God says in Joel, "3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time,
when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem," but
doesn't say that about Ephraim. Rather Judah and the true remnant of
Ephraim (that joined Judah before Ephraim was apostate) are joined
together as a single rod in the new nation.Fifth:
The European nations are decendants of Japeth. Their promise is that
"God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem;
and Canaan shall be his servant." 9:27. The promise is to "enlarge"
him, meaning his territory and enfluence. He is the "elder" brother who
has been charged with taking care of his younger siblings, and therefore
God apointed the Europeans for the missionary work during this
dispensation. God will undoubtedly continue to have special
responsibilities and priveleges for Japheth that Shem and Ham do not
enjoy. However the truly "chosen" race is from Shem, being the Jewish
nation.Sixth:
God made two promises to Abraham:
Dust:
13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a
man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be
numbered.Stars:
15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward
heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said
unto him, So shall thy seed be.This promise is that Abraham's "seed" should be heir of the entire
world. (Hebrews 4:13).As for the "dust" - God will grant the Jew rule and possession of this
entire planet, Earth. As for the "stars" - God will grant that the nations that are saved
shall be granted rule and possession of the galaxies in the
heavens.(see, Hebrews 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on
the Gentiles through Jesus Christ) Earth will be the HQ for this
venture, and the Jews will rule from Jerusalem. (Explaining what Jesus
meant when he told Peter that whatever he would bind on earth would be
bound in heaven - Peter will sit with the other 11 Jewish apostles
ruling over the 12 tribes of Israel).Of course, we (the Church) will have the privilege of being in the "New
Jerusalem" that will be situated above the earth, and we will dwell
with God there. So, Japeth's enlargement (the European's) still has future implications
in his leading involvement in the future exploration of the heavens
along with Shem.
Of course, Japheth suffers a major set-back when most of Magog is
destroyed at the end of the Millenium after encircling Jerusalem. Maybe
those white folks will get a fat-head and not want Jews ruling over them
any more.So the whole "lost tribes" business is foolish since the Church has a
much better position for eternity than either the Jews who make it
through the tribulation, or the Gentiles that are saved and permitted
to enter the millenium. The resurected Church is said to be like Christ, however that might not
mean that we are all to become 33-year old males. The Bible says,
"15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."Perhaps "in his own order" also implies maintaining some characteristics
that we currently have (male, female, race, etc.) albeit in a glorified
form.We can anticipate a period of time after the millenium for Paul spoke of
the "ages" to come, not just "age" to come. And we have a promise in the
Bible that God is faithful to 1,000 generations, which would be anywhere
from 20,000 years to 120,000 years to expect in the following age.The Bible says that there will be no end to the "increase" of Christ's
government and peace, suggesting a geographic and territorial increase
as well.
15:24 "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom
to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies
under his feet."How long Christ must reign until "all enemies" are put down?
Either during the millenium, of after wards, there exists the
possibility that the wars of Joshua's day will be repeated. In other
words that all that "complete anihilation" of the enemies of God will
have to be performed. Could it be our task to see to it that the fallen
"sons of God" existing on other planets are completely destroyed? This
is speculation based on a repeat of the Bible, but too vague at this
time to sort out or state with any certainty.Somethings to think about,
