Dear Doves,My sons, my daughter, my daughters-in-law, and I have always closely interacted with each other, both on a personal and business level. However, two months ago, after a business disagreement with her sister-in-law, my daughter has completely disassociated herself from her family, even her elderly grandparents, and refuses any type of communication from us. Phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. Her actions are totally out of character. Her husband will also not communicate with any of us although, over the last ten years, we have tried to 'bring him into the family', especially since he is not close to his own family. He has never really bought in to our 'one for all and all for one' philosophy. He is also a nominal Christian.
Over the last six months there have been red flags that they have been pulling away from us but, due to our busy lives, we assumed this was a temporary situation that would work itself out.
Two weeks ago, my daughter and my 6-year-old grandson moved in with her husband's parents, out-of-state, while her husband stayed behind to sell their house. Now, I have reason to believe that she may have done this under duress and that her husband is attempting to isolate her from her family.
I am in the position of continuing to 'wait on the Lord' or to take action by hiring professionals to determine the truth of the matter. At the moment, the Lord seems silent while I am anxious about my daughter's and grandson's well-being.
Please pray for her and advise me.
