With regards Anna, the Prohetess, the genealogical records were held in the Temple (second/Herod\'s) and were destroyed when it was razed in 70AD by Titus. The sanhedrin acted quickly to ensure the Levite line was identifiable/protected but by and large the descendents from the other tribes is uncertain except to God. (Rev. Chpt 7)
