I sensed the same thing, and even sent email letters to the prominent evangelical pastors asking them to reach out to him now that Mel is in a broken state.  Mel needs the TRUTH the WHOLE TRUTH and NOTHING but the TRUTH.  This is the priceless gift that evangelical pastors have to offer.  I hope someone heeded my suggestion.  Only time will tell.  Meanwhile, do pray for Mel.  He definitely needs help.  He has done a lot for the body of Christ.  We owe it to him to pray for him.
