THE MYSTERIOUS TIMING OF MEL-CHIZ' E-DEK AND THE DAY OF THE LORD PART TWO

In Part One I went over the second Part of Genesis Chapter 14 which is the first time Mel-chiz'e-dek is even mentioned in the Bible. There are several reasons why He is first mentioned in Genesis chapter 14.The meaning of the number fourteen is Deliverance or Salivation. This is the role Jesus Christ will play in his future Millennial Reign. Mel-chiz'e-dek was at the very least a type of Messiah's future Priesthood or possibly even Jesus Christ Himself.I will certainly delve into this as I write about the subject. This will be a very important point to discuss because Mel-chiz;e-dek is spoken of in Psalm 110. Not everyone will understand what the significance of this mention (Mel-chiz'e-dek) is in this particular Psalm at this point but I will make it very clear so everybody will be able to comprehend what I am saying. The link for Part One is at the top if you would like some background.

In Part One I showed the reader that Mel-chiz'e-dek was the King of Sa'lem (Jerusalem). This is a picture of Jesus Christ being King of Kings and Lord of Lords which the book of Revelation explicitly describes in all of Messiah's Majesty.Take a guess where Jesus Christ Himself will rule from in His Millennial Reign? Jerusalem. Zechariah talks about this in chapter 14 (Emphasis 14; Deliverance or Salvation). This story or model describes Mel-chiz'e-dek bringing forth bread and wine. This is a foreshadowing of the Priesthood Jesus Christ will have in His future Reign. The Bible describes Y'shua (Jesus Christ;Messiah) as King and Priest in His Reign just as the Model of Genesis depicts in vivid clarity. The Model also shows that the king in Sodom was shunned off to the side; however,Mel-chiz'e-dek King of Sa'lem (Jerusalem) was given honor, respect and pictured as a Redeemer.

I would like to progress slowly into this subject especially from a "Numbers" point of view because there are 7 verses in Psalm 110. Guess where Mel-chiz'e-dek is juxtapostioned? Verse 4. Is this significant? It is not only significant, it is perfect but before I describe why this is so I need to give you some brief history on where Mel-chiz'e-dek was justapostioned in the book of Genesis (Chapter and verses). The background and knowledge will help you understand Psalm 110 which most definitely gives us a clue to the approximate timing of the middle of the 7 year Tribulation Period. This is just another clue as to how close we really are to the Lord's Return which in simple terms means the Rapture of the Church is very close.

In Genesis chapter 14:18 "And Mel-chiz'e-dek King of Sa'lem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the Priest of the Most High God." Chapter 14 (Deliverance;Salvation;Chapter 14), verse 18 (the meaning of this number throughout Scripture is bondage). So at the very least I had to ask myself a question. Relative to the subject of Mel-chiz'e-dek how does this justapostioning (Deliverance or Salvation) relate to bondage ( verse 18). It's the Book of Revelation that really starts to talk about our Priesthood unto God. It's a book that introduces Jesus Christ Himself, the Church Age (we are at the end of the Church Age), the Rapture, our worship experience, the Tribulation judgments and a point that I would like to focus in on which I believe is the middle of the 7 year Tribulation Period. It is at this juncture that Jesus Christ Himself takes on a very distinct role. And when the dragon saw that he was cast into the earth,he persecuted the women which brought forth the man child. Revelation 12:13. In the previous verse..."Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." Most prophecy scholars believe that this takes place in the middle of the Tribulation period. The next chapter is the ultimate chapter of bondage (13).The Antichrist, the False Prophet, a prophecy of their tyrannical 42 month rule, great wonders and deception, and the Mark of the Beast. The reason why Mel-chez'e-dek is first mentioned in Genesis 14:18 is because Jesus Christ is about to Deliver (14) Israel through their persecution or bondage (18) as He begins I believe at the blowing of the seventh trump in Revelation chapter 11 to take His Great Power and begin to Reign. In Revelation 11:15 the Bible says "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in Heaven saying,The Kingdoms of this World are become the Kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ;and He shall reign for ever and ever." When the reader arrives at verse 17..."because thou hast taken to thee this great power, and hast reigned." In the context of the Book of Revelation this starts the middle of the 7 year Tribulation Period. This is why Mel-chiz'e-dek is first mentioned in Genesis 14 (Deliverance) verse 18 (bondage). At this point the World will be at the greatest time period of bondage in the history of all mankind.Did you catch the first phase in Genesis 14:18 "And Mel-chiz'e-dek King of Sa'lem." Sa'lem,Jerusalem,it is the same place. So to sum Genesis 14:18 up Mel-chiz'e-dek (Jesus Christ) as the Deliverer (14) starts to take preparation in the middle of the future 7 year Tribulation period (18;bondage) by casting the dragon (devil) out of heaven which will be the beginning preparation of Y'shua's (Jesus Christ) Kingship and Priesthood for His Reign and Rule on Planet Earth. Some people may be asking why would you believe Mel-chiz'e-dek is Jesus Christ Himself? I don't have the time to explain my reasoning on this very important and prophetically significant subject but Lord willing I would like to in a future article.

If you are not convinced of what I am saying regarding the number 14 (Chapter 14) why does Zechariah Chapter 14:16 talk about Jesus Christ in His Millennial Reign? And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which come against Je-ru'sa-lem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.Genesis chapter 14 is a foreshadowing of Messiah,Y'shua's,Jesus Christ's future 1000 year Reign (Revelation 20:2-3). Chapter 20 (twenty the very meaning of Redemption).Could all these numbers and meanings be in the Word of God by accident? The odds are pretty slim to none.Mel-chez'e-dek had to be first justapostioned in verse 18 of Genesis Chapter 14 because it is at the middle of the Seven Year Tribulation that Jesus Christ Himself starts to take action regarding His Kingship and Priesthood. To understand Psalm 110:4 (Mel-chez'e-dek;the year by year sequence of the Psalms) requires specific history with the help of biblical numerics to understand just one of the many reasons we are very close to the Rapture, Day of the Lord, and Jesus Christ's Glorious Reign. If you are an unbeliever in Jesus Christ I hope you are at least grasping the basics of what I am saying.Knowing that we are very close to all these things that the Bible prophesied should produce conviction in one's soul to accept Jesus Christ into your heart so you can be a part of the Rapture of the Church and be secure and protected from the horrors to come which will take place on this Planet after the Blesses Hope. The time is very short. As I delve deeper into this subject if you decide to follow my future articles Lord willing I personally believe you will become even more convinced that the Lord's Return is just upon us. As a Believer in Jesus Christ in a World that offers no Salvation the subject of Mel-chez'e-dek is pivotal to really understanding End Time Bible Prophecy. My Savior and Lord is promised to Reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and exercise His Priesthood. One further note in Zechariah 14:16 notice the Nations of the World in the Millennium go once a year to Je-ru'sa-lem and worship the..".King,the Lord of hosts"...and it is in verse 16 which has a consistent meaning of love throughout Scripture. We live in a World of hate now but not under our Messiah's future Reign because Jesus Christ is a God of Love.
