Diane's contribution
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2005/diannet829-1.htm I
believe opens an
interesting point.

God's Word states the Lord is coming back for a Bride that is righteous and
pure, for this to occur there will be separating - Wheat from the Tares.
As these Last Days draw to a close, and as evil increases in the World
System, everybody, Christian and eventually Nonchristian, will have to choose
what they really do believe. In fact that belief will ultimately be tested by
death.

eg
My understanding is the Bible calls me to love my enemies. I'm sorry citizens
of the USA, I don't see that killing someone for oil to be God's plan for
humanity.
God cares for people, not whether the USA has oil. I say this not to upset
you, but to make my point - eventually everyone will have to decide what they
believe in. It is actually God's purpose in these Last Days to force people
to decide - "If they for Him or against Him". Have you heard that
before in a
different context?

As the actions of evil become increasingly severe, the choice for God will be
increasingly easier.

What do I mean by that? I hear you say.

This draws me back to Diane's original point, at the moment Christians argue
about Pre Trib / Mid Trib / Post Trib Rapture, is Pat Robertson is right or
wrong?, do we tithe or not tithe?, is green Gods favourite colour?,  etc,
etc, etc. As these Last Days end and evil abounds, religious arguments will
become increasingly petty compared to the to real problem of looking after
people. We choose whether we act out our faith.

NonChristians too will be forced to choose between a Righteous God and His
morality or an increasingly harsh World System (read Satanic) and its lack of
morality. In fact the world will be forced to live in an eviroment of its
making - ie Evolutionary theory will become the law of life (more like - law
of the jungle). Morality does not exist in the evolutionary world, it really
does become survival of the strongest. Which is why the the Tribulation
period is cut short by the Lord.

In the end its simple -  We love the Lord, we love our neighbour and we pray
we are overcomers. Simple!
