Hello John, I usually don't post, so I'm not sure if I am doing this right. Please forgive any poor protocol. Thanks, SabinaHello Doves,
I'm guilty of lurking. I usually don't post, but love to visit your site and keep up with all of you. You have been a blessing. Thank you.
Last night I had an experience that I feel I should share. I woke a bit congested (asthma) and decided to get some cough medicine from the hall closet. When I reached the bedroom door which we usually keep closed at night, I was surprised to see it open. When I stepped through it into the hall, WHAM!. It wasn't open at all. I figured that I was still half asleep and "dreamed" the open door.
All morning it nagged at my mind. I was wondering if the Lord was giving me a message. Was He saying that I wasn't ready for the rapture? Or what else? We do tend to focus on ourselves don't we?
Later that morning I was deleting files out of my email folder and accidently deleted a file from our Church. It gave a passage in Spanish that I was going to calligriphy for the 2006 Mike Silva Evangelism, Nicaragua Crusade (which our church is sponsoring). I was able to retrieve it and decided I should look it up in English first. When I did, this is what it said.
Col. 4:3
And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.WOW! God sure knows how to get our attention. Now I'm trying to figure out why He thought it so important that He would so "bluntly" gain my notice. Who am I for him to do this? The first thought to my mind... Was the door closing on future Evangelistic efforts? I feel led to send out a warning, and so this message. Please pray for The Lord to keep the door open for just a while more. There are so many..... The letter to the Church of Laodicea depicts the Lord standing at the closed door knocking. Once the apostate church of Laodicea becomes widespread. The church's ministry will become ineffective. Perhaps He is knocking at the door of our hearts, letting us know that there is so much more to do and little time. Pray the door won't close until all is done.
Praying for all of you.
