In Rev 6:12 after the 6th seal is open, it says The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red.  The greek word is holos which means, whole, complete, total.  Would this imply that it was a full moon?  There are two Jewish holidays that fall on a fall moon - the Passover (Pesach - Apr 13, 2006)  in the Spring and the Feast of the Tabernacles (Sukkot - Oct 18, 2005).
