"Peggy's Response to Ed (Pre-Trib Rapture)"

But consider the context of Matthew 24, Ed.  Yeshua is speaking to the Jews, not to the Church. At that point in time, before the Day of Pentecost, there WAS no Church.  Say for instance, that you are correct, and Christians (the Bride of Christ) does have to go through the horrors of the Tribulation, which is God’s wrath on unbelieving mankind.  Why are we to be “watching”?  Why would the things befalling the earth be a “surprise” and “catch us off guard”?  I can tell you for a fact, that when the judgments of the Tribulation began befalling this earth, I would shout it from the rooftops!  When the AC-to-be signed a 7-year peace treaty with Israel, I would shout it from the rooftops!  Why would Yeshua choose this one particular generation to go through these horrors?  We are His cherished Bride!

Also the physical Second Coming of Christ is well known… it is not an unknown day.  We are told in various Scriptures EXACTLY when to expect Him:

1,260 days:

"And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

Revelation 11:3

Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Revelation 12:6

1,290 days:

"From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

Daniel 12:11

42 months:

"Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.

Revelation 11:2

There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.

Revelation 13:5

3.5 years (time, times, half a time / in the midst of the week):

But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

Revelation 12:14

'He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

Daniel 7:25

"And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

Daniel 9:27

And what “wrath” is He referring to in Romans 5:9, Revelation 3:10, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, and 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11?

One thing we are most definitely in agreement on... be READY, folks!  We don't have long to wait!

YSIC!
