"Ed's August 16th post, RE: "Don't let anyone deceive you. 10 virgins.""

You appear to be mixing two different events, Ed… the departure of the Church before the Tribulation (the Rapture… taken from the Latin word “rapio” and Greek word “Harpazo”), where we meet Him in the clouds, return to Heaven with Him, where He’s gone to prepare a mansion for us, and the Marriage of the Lamb and the Church will take place.  And the resurrection at the end of the Tribulation, where we will return with Yeshua, as His Bride, to fight the Battle of Armageddon.

There are most definitely people saved after the Rapture of the Church. The Holy Spirit will not be removed at the Rapture, but the work of the Holy Spirit IN and THROUGH the Church is the “Restrainer” of Thessalonians.  The HS will cannot be removed from the world (God is omnipotent, and the HS is HIS Spirit), just the restraining influence of the HS living in us.  The first 4 chapters deal with the 7 churches (aka, the Church Age).  Revelation 3:10:

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: 'I know your deeds Behold, I have put before you an open door [HERE’S THE OPEN DOOR WHICH WE ENTER INTO, AND HE SHUTS BEHIND US.] which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 'Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.’ And Revelation 4:1 show a “door standing open in Heaven”.

Revelation 5:9 shows the Church in Heaven:

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; (KJV)

Who has been redeemed by Christ’s blood shed at the cross but the Church?

This is the Church’s exit. We are not mentioned again until Revelation 19, where He speaks of the Marriage of the Lamb. So the Church is absent during the Tribulation judgments/wrath of God (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, Romans 5:9).  The Wrath of YHWH and Yeshua are discussed in Revelation 6:16-17.

One of the ways in which we know that those who are under the altar in Revelation 6:9-11 are the Tribulation Saints and not the Church is because of two contrasting verses:

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock. I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)

Here He tells us the Church will prevail.  However in Revelation 13:7, the Antichrist will overcome the Saints.

It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.

So there WILL be people saved during the Tribulation, but if they refuse to take the Mark, they will be hunted down and martyred (most likely via the guillotine).
