The Israel Defense Forces soldiers killed a Palestinian gunman attempting to plant explosives near the settlement of Ganei Tal in the southern Gaza Strip late Friday night.

Soldiers noticed three Palestinians crawling near the security fence surrounding the Gush Katif settlement bloc. The IDF forces opened fire on them and killed one gunman.

No IDF soldiers were reported wounded in the incident.
