SCIENTISTS say there are far more drug users in Europe than official figures predict — after quantities of cocaine were found in RIVERS.Researchers found levels of Benzoylecgonine — which forms in the urine of cocaine users — suggesting 40,000 lines of coke are taken each day by the 1.4million adults in Italy’s Po Valley.
That is almost three times official estimates.
The chemical gets into rivers through sewers.
Milan’s Institute for Pharmacological Research found similar readings in other towns.
