He is coming spiritually at the day of Christ, and physically in the Day of the Lord.  To distinguish between the two, we have to separate the two events to clear up the confusion.

The Day of Christ:  The spiritual gathering unto the body of Christ

The faithful in Christ shall be translated, and shall know the day.  References:  I Cor. 1:8; II Cor. 1:14; Phil. 1:6,10;I Thess 4:15-17; 5:4, 5:23; II Thess 2:1; Rev 3:7-10;

The body of Christ has no part of the seven year tribulation in them.  The body is filled with the fullness of God.  Ephesians 1:22,23. He has also translated our spirit man into the kingdom of heaven, Col 1:12-13.  Therefore, Christ Jesus who is faithful and true cannot deny Himself.  The spirit of Christ dwell in you, you have been redeemed from the curse of the law.  The tribulation period is when the curse devours the earth for they have broken God's laws. Isaiah 24:1-6;34:5.  The true church has no part of the curse in them.  He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Col. 1:12,13. The power of darkness prevails in the tribulation .  Daniel 11:36; Rev. 16:10; Joel 2:2. The seven year tribulation cannot begin until the body of Christ , the children of light, is removed. II Thess 2:6-8.

If Jesus had not released the authority for Satan to enter into Judas to do his works, Jesus would have never died to finish his works of righteousness.

Satan cannot do his works of evil in the tribulation until the body of Christ , the righteousness of God, is removed.

The day of Christ is a glorious day, and His body shall know the day for we are the children of light.  I Thess 5:4-5.
  Elisha, the sons of the prophets of Bethel and Jericho knew the day Elijah would be translated . II  Kings 2:1-5. How much more shall we know with the everlasting covenant of Christ Jesus abiding in us.

If we deny the faith of Christ Jesus our Lord, how can we receive?

Enoch was translated that he would not see death. He believed God and pleased Him. For it is impossible to please God without faith. Hebrews 11:5-6.

 If the spirit of Christ dwells in you, and you are increasing in the knowledge of God, He will be pleased with you.
 Romans 8:8,9;Col. 1:10,19; Hebrews 13:21.

The day of Christ is coming, and you shall rejoice knowing that glorious day.

The Day of the Lord:  The physical appearance of the Second Coming of our Lord Christ Jesus with all his saints.

The day of vengeance , and no one will know that day...only our Father in heaven.  Reference: Isaiah 2:12;34:1-8;Ezek. 30:3; Joel 2: 1-11; 3:9-16; Rev. 6:17; 16:14; 19:11-21; Matt. 24: 29-31; 36; I Thess 3:13; Amos 5: 18,20.

For it is the day of the Lord's vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion.  Isaiah 34:8

Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord!  To what end is it for you?  The day of the Lord is darkness, and no light.  Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness and not light?  Even very dark, and no brightness in it?  Amos 5: 18,20.

The Lord reveals why we wil not know the day of the Lord in Zechariah 14: 6,7.
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark.
But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night, but it shall come to pass that at evening time it shall be light."

The scriptures have painted a clear picture to distinguish between the day of Christ and the day of the Lord, the Second Coming.

May God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ give us dreams and visions, and revelation knowledge of the day of Christ filled with all joy and peace in believing, that we abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
