Re: Day of Christ, Day of the Lord, Second AdventHi:

Yes.

Probably to keep things from being so clear that the unbeliever can figure it out. The indwelling Spirit of Christ is necessary for understanding. Like things have to be put together to see the whole picture. It's like working a jigsaw puzzle.
Dan. 12:9,10 says, "Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and NONE OF THE WICKED SHALL UNDERSTAND; but the wise shall understand."
Isa 28:9-13 says, "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; HERE A LITTLE, AND THERE A LITTLE: For with stammering lips (i.e., speaking in tongues) and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; HERE A LITTLE, AND THERE A LITTLE; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."
Concerning the Day of Christ, 1Cor 1:8 says, "Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in THE DAY OF OUR LORD JESUS."
Phil 1:6 says, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST."
Phil 1:10 says "That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till THE DAY OF CHRIST."
Phil 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in THE DAY OF CHRIST, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain." The Day of Christ is the Day of the Pre-Trib Rapture.
> > According to your interpretation, those different days will proceed in this order.> > Day of the Christ -> Day of the Lord -> Second Advent of the Christ
Yes. As I understand it, the Day of Christ will be the day of the first Rapture. The second Rapture, that of the Tribulation saints, will be on the Day of the Lord. The Second Advent follows the Day of the Lord by 7 months (Eze. 39:12,13). Therefore, the Hebrew year starting Tishri 1, the Day of the Lord, the Day of God's Wrath, is a leap year. It will be 7 months, instead of 6, to the Second Advent on the following Nisan 1.
> > Which day will Jesus return?
I think it will be on Nisan 1, the first day of the Hebrew Regnal and Sacred Year. Eze 29:17 establishes the date. It says, "in the first month, in the first day of the month (chodesh, crescent New Moon, i.e., Nisan 1), the word of the LORD came unto me." The Word is the Logos, Christ (John 1:1-3; Rev. 19:13).
Rev. 11:17 takes place on the Day of the Lord. It says, "We give thee thinks, O Lord God Almighty (Christ), which art (on Tishri 1), and wast (at the First Advent), and ART TO COME (at the Second Advent, 7 months future), because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned" (starting on Tishri 1).
Then Eze. 29:21 says, "In that day (Nisan 1) will I cause the horn (king) of the house of Israel (Christ) to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth (the Word, the Logos) in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."
Deu 11:14 says, "I will give you the rain of your land in HIS DUE SEASON, the first rain (begins Tishri 1) and the latter rain" (begins Nisan 1).
Joel 2:23 says, "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month."
Hosea 6:3 says, "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth."
The First Advent was as the former rain (Tishri 1). The Second Advent is as the latter rain (Nisan 1).
> > are you suggesting that there will be just raptures but Jesus will not return on these 2 dates; Day of the Christ and Day of the Lord.
Yes. He will not put his feet on Mt. Olivet until the 2nd coming. Zech. 14:4,5 says, "his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and THE LORD MY GOD SHALL COME, AND ALL THE SAINTS WITH THEE."
> > Does this mean we'll be raptured but it won't be Jesus who will gather us up and greet us?
> > Or does it mean that Jesus will be staying in Heaven and will gather us from there without returning to Earth? We will meet Jesus in the clouds. 1Th 4:17 says, "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Angels will probably be involved. They will be at the Second Rapture.
Of that Day of the Lord, Mark 13:23-27 says, "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. But in those days, AFTER THAT TRIBULATION, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars (the asteroids of Rev. 8:8,10) of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming IN THE CLOUDS (i.e., see the Sign of the Son of Man in the air, Mt. 24:30, Rev. 6:14f) with great power and glory. And then shall he SEND HIS ANGELS, and shall GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the EARTH (the Pre-Wrath Rapture, Rev. 7:14) to the uttermost part of HEAVEN" (i.e., those previously caught up in the Pre-Trib Rapture, Rev. 4:1).
> > If he doesn't return on these dates, then why are they called the Day of the Christ/Lord?
I think that these important days were given their names when the "Blueprint" of Time was made by God before Adam was created. Can you think of better names? On the Day of Christ, Jesus will come in the air for the Bride of Christ (Rev. 4:1). On the Day of the Lord, the angels will gather up the final rank in the First Resurrection, the Tribulation saints (Rev. 7:14). The Sign of the Son of Man will be seen in the air that day (Rev. 6:13-17). Christ will be seen sitting on his throne, because that day is his Coronation Day in Heaven.
The Day of the Lord is packed full of events. In Heaven, it is the day of the Coronation of Christ, the Marriage of the Lamb and the Judgment Seat of Christ (Rev. 11:15f). On Earth, it is the day of the Pre-Wrath Rapture (the last-chance Rapture) and the Day of God's Wrath, the Day of Destruction). Just as Solomon purged his kingdom at it's beginning, Christ will purge his kingdom on the first day, Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets.
Joel 1:15; 2:1-3 says, "Alas for the day! for the DAY OF THE LORD is at hand, and AS A DESTRUCTION FROM THE ALMIGHTY (Christ, Rev. 1:8) SHALL IT COME."
Isa 26:21 "For, behold, the LORD cometh out of HIS PLACE to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity."
John 14:2-4 says, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know (to Saturn), and the way ye know." We do know the way. The Cassini Mission is in orbit around Saturn now. It took 7 years to get there, and began orbiting Saturn July 1, 2004. It is to photograph Saturn and her moons for 4 years, till July 1, 2008.
On the Day of the Lord, the saints will be receiving their rewards in Heaven when the wrath of God is poured on the unbelievers left on Earth.
Rev. 11:15-19 says, "the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall REIGN for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art (on the Day of the Lord), and wast (at the First Advent), and art to come (at the Second Advent 7 months later); because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast REIGNED.
"And the nations were angry, AND THY WRATH IS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be JUDGED (at the Judgment Seat of Christ), and that thou shouldest GIVE REWARD unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; AND shouldest DESTROY them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament (i.e., the two stones are cast down to Earth and broken, as when Moses threw down the two stone tablets and broke them, because they were worshiping the golden calf): and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake (worldwide, Eze. 38:20; Rev. 16:18,19), and great hail."
> > If I can, I'd like to see a flow chart, in terms of time flow, that includes the seals, trumpets, bowls, and regarding the return of Jesus in relation to those 'days of the Lord/Christ and the second Advent'.
