"Well, my daughter Xian tried to come into the world
last night at about 1 AM. This is bad because she is
over six weeks early. The doctors are trying to keep
her contained long enough to shoot her up with some
steroids so she will be strong enough for the birth,
but it looks like it is going to be this week - ready
or not.
 
My wife is not likin' life right now. She had to lie
on a bed in the hospital hallway for seven hours as
there weren't any rooms avaialable until 8:30. They
had to make up a special room just for us (Our doctor
is one of my English students, so when he showed up at
8 AM this morning, he made them chop-chop.)
 
I am writing this email quickly as I have come home to
grab provisions for our hospital stay this week. I am
asking for prayers, not for myself. but for my wife
Xiao-Peng and my baby girl Xian.
