"Why
did God do it that way?....."
Why did Israel only win the battle against the Amalekites when Moses had his hands raised? What did this symbolize? You'll be amazed to found out not only what this symbolizes, but how much practical advice it has for you today as a modern believer. "The 42 Journey Pattern ..." devotes several pages to an in-depth of this story with tons of practical advice. In fact, all 3 stories from the encampment of Rephidim in Exod 17-18 tie together in a rather intriguing way that lays a foundation for understanding the mark of the beast on the hand/forehead.
Why did Moses lift up a bronze (nechoshet in Hebrew) snake (nachash)? What did it symbolize? Why was the snake (nachash) made of bronze (nechoshet)? Was there meaning in this? Yes, and Yoseph Viel's "The 42 Journey Pattern ..." spends several pages unraveling this thrilling mystery.
Why did God chose a rod and have that blossom to tell Israel which tribe was chosen for temple service? Was there something symbolic about it? Yes. Our Savior said He taught in parables so that "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven" would be given to believers but not to unbelievers (Matt 13:10-11), and all of these symbols are there to teach us important lessons that God only wants believers to know. The Wilderness Journey was a parable. A real life living parable that was recorded in order to teach us important lessons.
There's symbolism behind the battles Israel fought in the wilderness against the Amalekites, the Amorites, and others. This book takes a look at how those battles symbolize battles we face in the spiritual realm every day.
The 42 Journey Pattern holds the keys to understanding several things:
- Our own spiritual walk
- The Messiah's first coming
- How God has dealt with the nations over the centuries
- His second coming and it decodes the symbolism used in Revelation, particularly in the 42 month period of chapters 12-16 and into chapter 17 as well.
Shalom,
Joe
