I would like to say thanks to tEFE for that great article on the scepter not departing.  I had not thought of it that way, but it certainly does make sense.
 
Anyway, somewherein the Talmud it records thatthe right to capital punishment was taken from Israel in 30 AD.  The article you posted said 6 AD.  Are there any references for the 6 AD dating?
