Dear friends:Mark your calendars....
The American Life League (ALL) is planning a Pro-Life Memorial Day on October 3, 2005, to remember the 46 million dead, innocent children who have been the victims of state-sanctioned murder by abortion in America since the infamous U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade in 1973.
It seems amazing that they would have chosen October 3. Apparently it is because the American Life League is urging President Bush to designate the first Monday of October -- the day the Supreme Court begins a new session -- to be an annual Pro-Life Memorial Day.
But "it just so happens" that, this year, the eve of October 3 is the beginning of the Jewish Feast of Trumpets, Rosh HaShanah, and the end of the prophetic 14,000-day generation since June 7, 1967 when Israel took back the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, probably the most prophetic event since the Day of Pentecost just after Jesus' resurrection. The potential prophetic implications for October 3-4, 2005 are profound. Indeed, while speculation, it may mark the end of "this generation" to which Jesus referred in Matthew 24:34.
In announcing this planned Memorial Day, Jerry Falwell says, "No matter how many times I hear that number - 46 million dead - I still get a chill running down my spine. Since January 22, 1973 - the date of the U.S. Supreme Court’s infamous Roe v. Wade ruling - that is how many unborn babies have been butchered in our nation. To put that striking number in further perspective, ALL points out that one baby has been killed ever 24 seconds over the course of 32 years. In fact, for every two babies born, one is surgically aborted."
A Web site is being constructed at www.ProlifeMemorialDay.com. The American Life League site is at http://www.all.org/index.htm. See Web site excerpt below.
Keep your eyes on October 3-4, 2005, for more reasons than one. And remember the precious babies whose lives were cruelly taken.

"October 3, 2005 will be a day for all Americans to stop and reflect upon the gruesome war being waged upon innocent children in the womb," said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. "American Life League's first-ever Pro-life Memorial Day will unite people across our land under the common message that abortion is a violent act that has taken a toll of unthinkable proportions."
The American Life League marks horrors of
46 million dead with Pro-life Memorial DayNationwide participation is expected for this event, as individuals will be invited to plan and take part in Pro-life Memorial Day prayer services and similar events in their local communities on that day.
"ALL's Pro-life Memorial Day is not a political event," said Brown. "Rather, this day offers our nation a time to pause and look back, a day devoted to the memory of those 46 million children lost to surgical abortion since 1973. It is also our hope that this commemoration will unite and invigorate America's pro-life movement, renewing our determination to bring the abortion holocaust to an end."
American Life League is circulating a petition urging President Bush to designate the first Monday of October - the day the Supreme Court begins a new session - as Pro-life Memorial Day. The petition, as well as other information about the planned yearly event, will be available on a dedicated web site scheduled to debut in the weeks to come.
American Life League has also produced an official T-shirt for Pro-life Memorial Day, which can be viewed and purchased online.
"We feel strongly that Pro-life Memorial Day will be one of the most important days of the year for pro-life activists," said Brown. "We encourage all pro-life Americans to participate. With united actions and voices, we truly will make a difference for the babies."
