The Civil Administration's Planning Council in the West Bank is expected to approve relocating the headquarters of the Judea and Samaria police district from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-Amud to Area E-1 in the coming days."

 
"Meanwhile, the Ir Amim organization, which says it "seeks to make Jerusalem a more viable city," is campaigning against construction in Area E-1. The group says construction would disrupt Palestinian territorial contiguity between the northern and southern sections of the West Bank and surround East Jerusalem with Jewish neighborhoods, in a way that would prevent its development as the capital of a future Palestinian state."
