Was just thinking about salt.  I know some years ago there was a book with a title reflecting the need to be out of the salt shaker.

Salt is what Yeshua calls us to be to the world.  Hmmm ... salt ... a flavoring, a preservative.  And for those of us who experience winter's ice, a protection against slipping and sliding!

Yeshua warns that when the salt looses its saltiness it is good for only trodding under foot.  It is my understanding He was referring to dirty salt that was spread on the temple ground stone and was therefore trod under foot.

I want to encourage each one of you to "flavor" and "preserve" those around you.  Salt in a heap doesn't do much ... even though it be clean!  So use your "salt" where you are!  Use it where you are right now!  Seeking a heap to be stored with might not be the way or the place Yeshua wants to use you.
