Caps,I'll pray for you, .....whatever you do, do NOT go under the knife! Why don't you take your X-rays to a good Chiropractor? They can re-align your disks so they are no longer pinching any nerves! No surgery either! After you have had your initial consultation with the chiropractor, on later visits, you might want to take a muscle relaxant and an anti-inflammatory pill an hour before you see the chiropractor. (Ask your orthopedic surgeon for these prescriptions.) This will help loosen up any muscle spasms that might be going on with your back and help you to get a better adjustment from him. Also, talk to your chiropractor about the benefit of getting some back massages. Massages also help to loosen muscle spasms. I've personally found the combination of muscle relaxants, massage and chiropractic adjustment to be the ticket to recovery! Before I went to a chiropractor I was in constant back pain and miserable. But I wouldn't consider surgery. Then someone dared me to go to a chiropractor, and the very next day I felt better. Several weeks later of treatment, I was normal again and back to work! Chiropractic works!Hope this helps.
