Israeli Retreat Emboldens
Palestinians, Accelerates Prophecy
with Jerusalem at Its Epicenter -

WASH—Aug 15—KIN—The Israeli evacuation from Gaza, beginning this week, will usher in a new prophetic era where violence and worldwide natural and political disruption will accelerate at an unprecedented pace. Jerusalem will become an obsession of the entire world, as Zechariah prophesied, “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people.”

So-called disengagement is the biggest and most successful propaganda and public relations campaign of this young century. The world has come to believe that if only Israel will give up the land that it obtained in 1967 and 1973 when a vicious and unprovoked attack from Arab states was miraculously repelled by the small, outnumbered state of Israel, then there would be peace in the region.

Already, we are seeing the laying of the foundation of the Zechariah prophecy. Tens of thousands of Palestinians are celebrating the eviction of Israelis from the Gaza Strip. They hail the Israeli retreat as a victory of the blood of their martyrs.

Palestinian terrorist groups all see the Israeli pull out, after some 38 years, as a victory for terrorism over the well-organized, well trained, superior equipped Israeli Defense Force. And they vow to continue their fight until all so-called “occupied” land is liberated—this means all of modern Israel—they want to drive the Jews to the sea and annihilate them.

The news media has helped create an appearance of a public dispute between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah over which terrorist group was most responsible for the Israeli retreat. And both the news media and politicians are trying to create this façade that the Palestinian Authority is at odds with Hamas and Islamic Jihad. But in reality, these Palestinian terrorist organizations are cut from the same cloth, share the same goals and work together toward achieving them, no less like rival political parties in most civilized nations.

The similarities in their statements are profound and reveal their true intent. PA President Mahmoud Abbas said, “From here, from this place, our nation and our masses are walking toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said, “This is a first step toward liberating all our lands, first and foremost Jerusalem.” He said the PA and Hamas were unified despite press reports. In fact, PA Cabinet member Mohammed Dahlan said of the Palestinian factions, “This era is the era of unity, and the era that will end any competition or disagreement.”

The Palestinians have a strategy to retake Jerusalem using the same successful combination of terrorism and propaganda they have employed for a generation. They are beginning to open the prophetic gateway to the end times through which the world will rush to fulfill the rest of the Zechariah 12:3 prophecy, “all that burden themselves with Jerusalem shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Mark these days and prepare your heart for the Lord.
